So curious as too those that have upgraded from 2014 to either 2015 or 2016 if you noticed a performance gain? Is the car more aggressive with extra flex? Have always felt Xray has lacked turn in with a heap of mid corner steering and other brand cars could turn on a dime.

Aluminium bulkhead car seems to have more steering and be a better performer. Tuning window is much smaller compared to the composite bulkhead car but the potential is greater

Thank you Tim (sorry if i am wrong), are you running 2016?
I have a 15 and my old 14. Did some good back to back tests at the NSW titles and the 15 ran about .2 .3 faster. The old car always had terminal understeer and I always ended up with crazy setups to get enough steering that it made the car incredibly loose and hard to drive off the corner. The 15 has much better rear stability once you push more steering out of it. |

I'm still driving a '13 and after those feedbacks, I look forward to go through the '17.
I've heard about changes in the differentials, does somebody has some other rumours? |

I've got some news from a team driver on the official Xray forum.
of course there will be an update of the NT1 to 2017 version. It will be available early this year and it will be worth it to wait for the new car as we did some nice improvements for you. |
NT1 2009
Is the 2009 model still considered good? I don't really race and have a never used NT1. Never finished building it, but I'm about to finish the project and either sell it, run it once and stick it on the shelf, or run it once and sell it. I dunno.
It still looks damn nice. :) |

This is definitely a good news. At least we are sure that, beside the rumors, there will actually be a 2017 version. |

Nothing wrong with what you have. Use it and quite a few option parts you could get right up to 2014 model. Unfortunately it won't have much of a resale value so you may as well enjoy it until you can afford to upgrade.

Hello, what parts will bring it to a 2014? I have a 2010.
Previous post with links :) Biggest upgrade part would be the shocks, I believe these were a step forward from the 2014 model onwards. I would be doing the brake disc and pads for performance gains. But biggest upgrade is practice and trying setup changes for this you will need money for tyres, fuel, springs, diff and shock oils etc. And then if money allows look to reduce some weight out of the driveline from changing front and rear shafts, two speed oneway, two speed hub, and brake pulley. But the biggest performance gain will come from practice and trying setup changes for this you will need money for tyres, fuel, springs, shock & diff oils. |

It does look pretty awesome. I've got a nice lightly used Novarosssi 353 motor, brand new Novarossi pipe and manifold brand new Spectrum servos, fresh 6v pack and a jug of O'Donnel ready to be opened. All sitting on the workbench for this car. What am I waiting for? I would like to know how and what I can update to the 2014 spec? Any orange stuff?? :) |
