Hi Guys, question on the shocks for the WC car. In some of the set-up sheets it has one green check mark on the piston. Does that mean it is a one hole piston or a three hole piston? I called RC America and they say that they do not sell a one hole piston? So to be a one hale piston it would to have one hole plugged? Your thoughts? Thanks

Usually, when people refer to shock pistons, they usually say "2-hole piston", "3-hole piston", etc., which means the number of holes that are open in the piston. So, if you're talking about a 1-hole piston, you're talking about a piston that only has one hole open. If the setup sheets you're looking at has only one checkmark on the piston, that usually means that it is a 3-hole piston. The setup sheets usually use a checkmark to indicate the holes that are closed.

But in the setup sheets... The "green check mark" means "closed", while No mark means "open".

Or at least that is how I interpret it.

XRAY NT-1 2011 spec parts released !

It would be nice if xray would come out with ti pillow balls (8). the kyosho and the mugen touring cars have them as option parts. They are just as strong as the steel ones but they reduce the unsprung weight greatly.!!!

Machining Ti is much harder than steel or aluminum, higher tooling costs and material cost mean the end result is a very expensive part. I would like to see them come around, but I wouldn't want to add the cost to a new kit lol.

hi thats happens sometimes there..., any suggestions? that track is bumpy sometimes... but mayby try to use softer springs? or mayby set shocks more incline?

Its bumpy track section.

If the car still holds the line and it can go fast on S, no need to worry. Just leave it as is.

( I usually choose 450 weight oil shock for bumpy track, and 550 weight oil shock for smooth track )

If it's just that one section of the track and the rest of the track the car is fine then I would leave it unless it upsets the car to much. Try figuring out if your bottoming through there. Thicker oil sometimes helps, more ride height. Depends what springs your running now. My setup from crystal park (pretty bumpy through the sweeper and the back straight I just ran thicker oil to keep the car from bottoming, which was the cause of my ill handling.)

Cheers.
