Yup. That is where I got the idea from.

The design is very sensitive to the length of arms and what not. I made many iterations inorder to find the perfect length and how it works.

Hey Drew, I have a couple questions about Ralphs Worlds setup.

-It shows 3 hole pistons front and 2 hole rear is that correct??
-The front springs are labeled as Red 33lb, the reds I found are 38.5lb. So is the color correct or the LB's??
-Did you use the stock engine mounts or the mono block??

Oh ya, are you or Paully coming out to Speedworld for the Mugen race next week??:sneaky::sneaky:

Thanks,

Just found out the car will be a limited car. The name is the Worlds Edtion {WE}. The kit will not come with the plastic diff gears. Yes the car will come with the same and more options.

Thanks Drew

Thanks,

Yes the shock pistons are right. The front springs color is right but the lb. is wrong. Sorry was going to quick when I filled it out.

We used a mono block style engine mount.

Paul and I can't make it this year due to the fact of the IIC. Wish I could Billy's a great guy.

Thanks Drew

Yes it will come with the kit. The shoe is very good. Bobby Flack and Andy Power ran it also at the GLC and they were very happy with it.

Thanks Drew

Does anyone know if xray is thinking about a bearing rear antiroll-bar?? :)

Drew can you tell me how do you set your ride right, with blank tires or racing tires ?

Can't speak for Drew, but I'm pretty sure Paulie uses worn tires (or he does the math and compensates) that are the minimum diameter he expects to run (like at the end of the main) and sets his minimum ride height and droop settings with them. Then whatever the ride height is with fresh cut tires is what it is. For example:
using fresh cut tires and compensating
min tire size- 57mm fr/rr
he wants 5mm fr/rr RH at end of race
he's starting with 59.5 and 60.5 (fr/rr) tires
difference of 2.5/3.5
divide by 2= 1.25/1.75
so 5 + 1.25 = 6.25mm front and 5 + 1.75 = 6.75 rear

Keep in mind depending on tire wear, you might end up with smaller rear tires. So your math would look like this-
min tire dia- 58fr/57rr
min RH 5mm
beginning tire dia- 59.5/60.5
difference- 1.5/3.5
/2= .75/1.75
beginning RH= 5.75/6.75

Always set RH first, then droop.
His goal in using this method is not to have to reset RH or droop after every run- set it for optimum settings at the smallest dia, then let it be what it beez at any other diameter...lol

very interesting, I will have to give that a try
