i think that the main reason for the rear rod set up for rear chassis brace is that it allow more flex than the plastic i right-left forces.but less flex in forward-backward forces.

Could someone please post pics of the DLS set-up for the NT1?;) I've watched a couple of the videos showing the movement of the DLS set-up, however the image is not very clear and I can't really see what type parts were used or how the configuration is to be set up.

Hey DS,

Please post some pics of the DLS hookup.

The DLS video isn't mine.
Don't have the system on my car and I'm not planning to either.
I think it completely messes with the car's geometry/balance and you have to go to extremes to get the balance back. With extremes I mean very hard springs/ diff oils on the rear and a very soft front end.
I believe the system could give an advantage but it should be incorporated into the design.

Interesting tie rod on Dirks car, how would you adjust tweak with that?

Lengthening or shortening the rod, ideally you don't want any preload on the rod, it should move freely.

I think you're absolutely right. ;)
A nice tuning option to have. My home track mostly has low traction during practice and medium during races, but still not enough for the 4mm chassis.
But I like the feel the 4mm chassis gives, so I think I will try it together with the tie rod.

Mr.Hudy really changed his mind regarding the "performance" of blling bling parts...LOL

Congrats to Ralph Burch for his 1st place finish in 1/10 and 2nd place finish in 1/8 at the GLC. Drew, any news or pics on the DLS set-up for the NT1? Did you experiment with it at the GLC?

Regards,

Daniel

later had alum. pulley release !

Well guys things went well at the GLC. Ralph's car that we ran was the new WC Ralph Burch edtion and it preformed well. After looking at the dls system more and talking with Ralph we feel that it will not suit the american style tracks and will not better the the car so we did not test it there. I believe the serpent guys that came up with it were not running it. The NT1 has been out for a while and it keeps getting better with just fine tuning the car. This does not mean we will not test or come out with it.It just means that it would not of made the car any faster at the GLC.

On Ralph car we ran all the new parts. Meaning all the new "bling bling". I think the sway bar mounts are great. The plastic ones always flexed and the set screws always dug in to the plastic. With the alum. mount the droop was more stable without the flex and we feel that it made the car drive easier. We also ran the new mid shaft mount and we feel that made the car more free also because of the flex of the plastic mount. These parts are out now if you can't wait for the WC car. The new car will come with all the goodies and more. We are thinking of have them late Sept.early Oct. The race report and setup sheets will be posted soon on teamxray.com.

Thanks Drew

What I have been busy with...

I ran a simulation with it... Wheel degree never goes beyond 0.3 in either direction.

Waiting for some parts to incorporate it. My main focus is to leave the Rear ARB intact.

Drew does the WCE car come with Capricorn / Xray Comp. diffs and is the new kit coming with more options than he used in Houston ?
