This was in the D812 thread a long time ago. I replace pins quite often. I bought these and have been using them for probably a couple of months. They are every bit as good as the Mugen pins in terms of wear, fit etc. There is a deeper taper on one side, but it doesn't affect anything in terms of performance or wear on out drives. For whatever reason they shipped them 2 day in an unnecessarily large box, so shipping was as much as the product. When you buy online there are no shipping options to choose from. It just says they'll add shipping or something like that. If you order, I'd call and see if there is another option. Even with shipping, they're still cheaper LoL

Bit of a shame if you ask me, but I'm sure there are other options available.
EDIT: Looks like Fastenal can ship internationally, and carry the same sizes of dowel pins. Not as cheap though.

Ceramics do spin smoother. They are slightly lighter. At the time I was running them, which was about a year ago, another racer who was better than I and who drove the same car with the same set up and club raced weekly was still faster without ceramics. I want to say about .7 to 1 second faster a lap. That made me realize driving skill is vastly more important than a tricked out car. Another friend's box stock MP9 (same car, kit bearings) performed the same on track as mine. Ceramics are not a one time only purchase either. Sooner or later they will get gritty or the inner race will get wobbly or one of the balls will spilt and they are a lot more expensive to replace than a kit bearing. So for those three reasons, they're not worth it for me anymore. If money was no object, I would run them just in case I could get any time no matter how slight, out of them or maybe more mileage.

Just a heads up to people outside of America, I sent the guys at McMaster-Carr a message to ask how much it would cost to ship to me, and they will only ship internationally if you have an established connection with them (i.e. you are a company and buy from them) because of the cost of complying with US export regulations.

The collets on the wire that holds on the muffler - where do I get these?
#1252
you could probably also use the collets from the throttle/brake linkage and just ream them out a bit

Isn't that the internal part to the ball end of the axle. (I'm sure there are much more official terms for these parts, lol)

What are the recommended hop ups you should get for this car?
Wanted to make sure since those carbon tid bits are kinda pricey.

Car is pretty solid out of the box. Avid carbon inserts are nice for the rear. Give a little more rear traction. The optional carbon hub towers are a good tuning option as well. Car comes with the only springs you'll ever need. The kit sways are good for most conditions.
