Looking forward to seeing the nb48. I'm sure its as nice as the eb48 which I really like!

Although I'm not a Nitro guy...

Please state what % of parts are shared with the EB48 when you start showing it topless. :)

The unveiling of the NB is only 1 of the great things to come. There are a couple of other little things that people may want to go to RCX to see this weekend :)

spunkysandoval 05-31-2013 10:34 AM

Wish I could make it. Can't wait for this buggy to be out.

evolution03 05-31-2013 02:21 PM

what size clutch 32mm or 34mm ?

aloksatoor 05-31-2013 02:58 PM

Hmm bit disappointed. All the regular blurbs which are present in 10 other chassis from manufacturers with more nitro experience. Wasn't the JQ also able to adjust the engine back and forth. Xray went back from the narrow central weight to the spread weight like distro of the kyosho. Wish Tekno all the best. I will stick to my older 2012 chassis for now.

MattP 05-31-2013 05:15 PM

I need a ET48!!!!!!

Matthew_Armeni 05-31-2013 05:42 PM

First post updated.

maxflo777 05-31-2013 06:28 PM

So if you move the engine f/r you need to flip the center diff to match? I can see the engine flipping in its mounts but i dont see extra holes for the diff. Good guess?

The NB48 is due to release in this fall 2013 along with the NT48 and ET48. The NB48 price will be a little bit higher than the EB48 and will be in the price range of 600-700(comparable to other nitro kits on the market). These figures and release date are going to be more solidified in the coming months. Truggy prices are not yet determined but we are hoping for sub 700 price tag along with the buggy.

I really hope yall kept the center dogbone setup, cvd or captured fronts really wear out fast.

Center shafts are dog bones. The front AND rear bulkheads are angled to mate better with the center diff. This minimized drive angles, reduced wear (less friction), and increased efficiency.

CV's have extra parts and mass that we didn't think was necessary.

bastard dsm 06-02-2013 08:37 AM

I like your thinking, I was going to buy a losi 3.0 to get me by till your nb48 release but looks like ill just wait it out.

arm2storm 06-03-2013 07:19 AM

This is great news, im glad to see a company that listens to there customers. You all just hit it way out of the park. I've been looking for a brand that had every class and a good product. I've been running Mugen since I started in 2004 and I currently run the mbx7. If the NB48 handles anything close to my x7. I'm switching and getting everything Tekno. Good Job!!!

34mm flywheel. 4-shoe clutch setup. Clutch bells should be compatible with Losi. Our bell will feature a different bearing setup that should be a little more durable than current offerings. More info on that later.

Here you go.

Tyson72 06-03-2013 09:15 PM

A friend of mine has the eb48.
Will most major parts, like a-arms be the same as the eb48 or is the whole car completely different?
Just wondering for having both cars u could get away with having one lot of spare parts for both...

70% parts compatibility. EB48 a-arms will be the same :tire:

Will the new rear bulkhead be backwards compatible with the EB48?

We kept as many parts in common as possible, so yes, you will have fewer spares in your box. That said we did not compromise the nitro platform in any way. It is purpose built nitro machine.

The NB48 rear bulkhead is offset and angled. The EB48 bulk is centered and straight out. However we have a new centered and angled bulkhead on the ET48 that is compatible with the EB48. The new bulkhead should be available separately soon.

Bulkheads are angled how? Vertically or Horizontally?

Rear bulkhead is slightly angled vertically.
