Not everyone lives somewhere they can race nitro year round. The 2013 nitro season is just getting started and this car was just announced. It will be 2014 before most people get to run this car. Depending how the r&d goes it may be 2014 before anyone not running for Tekno gets to run one.

Well, at this point the TRF801X and Xt are kind of on the affordable side if you're lucky and find the right seller. That may also be true for the MP9 TKI3, but I haven't seen any bargains on it around...

And how about Kyosho's tool kits? I mean, I love Kyosho and their great quality but DAMN! $2,500 for an RC tool kit? I'm happy with my HUDYs.

Anyway, my opinion on the alleged NB48... I like both nitro and electric buggies, but the guys at Tekno really like electric more than nitro, so I don't know why they would decide to create a nitro buggy. And because of that, I would rather purchase their EB48 (which I may do one day) and forget the existence of the NB48.

I'm starting to think this was a big fat joke....

You ever think that the news release was much more premature than Tekno would have liked?

Of course I thought that.....I'm just not seeing the hype as I have with other models that were about to come out. Surely somebody has seen or heard something.

Yes, we have, but it is not our place to tell. When Tekno is prepared to release additional information, they will.

They were at NorCal hobbies testing one last Friday. It's real. :nod:

Well the EB48 is Pres' the NB48 is a prototype test car that is TEKNO's

This is a tuff question for us, but there is more than one built for testing.

That's funny because Tekno has been kicking butt since their vehicle releases. Guess your someone who likes to spread false info.....:rolleyes:

If they didn't want the news release they wouldn't have put a big ass "TEKNO" sticker on the side of the car......smh also i saw this at norcal...its real and was being time tested back to back with a kyosho! I think you'll all b surprised when u see the shape of the chassis, all i can say is it looks more like a onroad chassis than buggy!! I kno it's in beginning stages, but from what i saw the tekno looked faster but the mp looked more consistent.......i could b wrong tho!!

Tekno must have done a massive job on weight repartition, like they did for the EB48. For a first car it was very well designed. That's what I like about tekno: everything is well thought. I hope they won't get too much little problems the NB48 being their first nitro

i hope there arent any crazy linkages like on the durnago but im very excited for the release

RCX is this weekend. The top will be off and we hope everyone will like what we've done with our NB48 platform. Maybe we'll see some of you there.

I didn't see the top deck, body never came off, not sure yet about the linkages, but if i had to guess, i would say it has some weird linkage similar to durango, cause its hella narrow, prob the only way to fit it, the one I saw had that same yellow body with the big "TEKNO" sticker on it too

Guessing a side mount engine on road style with some crazy belt drive tranny :) I am hoping. I like complex cars, ran the schumacher wheelers for that reason then got tired of DNFs and went with a conventional setup. But you gotta have one crazy in your fleet I say hehe.
