The Durango tank pull fits nice and snug (http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXCCRL&P=PU)

I tried the losi tank pull and tossed it because it was too hard to access with myFTW body, so I got this, love it and my pit guy can grab it easily even when he has his gloves on.

For anyone new to the NB48 that doesnt love the stock body there are a couple after market bodies from FTW that work, specifcally theres the FTW reactor body specifically designed for the NB48 but I prefer the XB9 body from FTW which fits great the only thing that you need to change is the filter setup to the losi filter.

Thanks for the info! I ordered up a FTW reactor body just now.

I ran somewhere between 1/3-1/2 gallon of fuel through the buggy today and it performed really well. No clutch bearing problems today, maybe I just had a bad one last weekend. The LRC pivot block didnt show (wont get here 'til Monday :flaming: ) so I wasnt able to run Mo's setup completely and my shock oils were 30-50cst heavier as well (picked up some more oils that are closer).

Revelation was dry all day and ambient temps were 88°. The track was changed up a little bit from a couple weeks ago (either for or right after the Chris Nunez event). The setup soaked up the ruts quite well and will be even better with the lighter oil. You could be very aggressive through the corners and carry a ton of speed on power. Off power, it is fairly loose and is a bit of a handful. I'm not sure how the LRC will effect this but hopefully it tightens up a bit. On power it was very predictable and you could literally put the buggy anywhere you wanted to on track.

Revelation in Ontario? I need to make a trip out there to check it out.

Yep. Layout doesnt flow well but it can be fun. Lots of full throttle to no throttle with very little in between. Lots of 180° turns and only a couple of higher speed corners. You can carry a ton of speed coming off the straight into the small chicane. Mo's setup was really good in that area and I only traction rolled there once (thought it was going to be really ugly but caught a rut and it stopped me pretty quick).

Cool. May come out next weekend to run it. Making some parts for my Tekno this week to do some testing on.

I want to be lazy today but its time to tear down and clean. I need to have a kid...

ThreatRacing 08-24-2014 03:04 PM

Oh it doesn't get any easier with a kid. It gets worse because you end up getting them one and it gives you twice the work load. Aleast for a little while until they are old enough to handle the job lol!

Stlll look good after two race weekends since I put them in.

madweazl 08-24-2014 04:19 PM

My kit didnt have the updated ones but I havent noticed any leakage at the outdrives. My center diff is leaking a bit at the spur though.

underway 08-24-2014 04:25 PM

weazl, the problem with the original is not it allowing the diff to leak. It deforms and will concave over time and lock up your diff. I would change em out just for the peace of mind.

I hadnt seen anything about the diff locking up after the deformation of the early shims. Was there a different part number identifying the updated shims? I dont recall seeing anything about it other than they were black.

Edit: Looks like TKR5145"B" is the updated part.
