Has anyone managed to installed the shock boot over the shock bottom? Based on Chad's recommendation, I installed them before putting on the bottom. But they seem to be sliding up. Any tips or tricks?

If you move the shaft a few times up and down, they should get in place. I don't have any problems with them.

Here's a few pics of my MBX7Tix chassis. Ive been playing with this for a little while now. The chassis uses the x7 radio tray, guards, steering geometry, servo saver and ackerman, top plate and F/C driveshaft. The weight is further forward than the stock 6T setup generating a lot more steering than before.

i tried them last week, taper up with 450/400 and it was pretty good, maybe 50 too soft. liked em better than mugen 8 x 1.2 as the had more pack even with softer oil.
thanks. where did you get them from?

Can someone confirm if the M2C throttle servo horn works without any mods on the 7? I am on the look out for a metal horn since the stock plastic is not inspiring any confidence. I used the Hudy on the 6 and it was great. The 7 brake linkage seems to be raised.

Why can't Mugen make a metal splined one? It's the splines that gets eaten away not the arm itself.

Also the screws that hold the sway bars on the diff case is elcheapo. The 6 has better 2mm screws.

Hello, are you able to get the shock boot over the shock bottom? I could not see a way to install it without stretching the boot excessively even with some lube. So I installed it and screwed in the bottom.

It is possible, but there are chances that you damage the boot. It's best to slide over the shaft without the ballends installed.

Perfect, will order them. Looked different as the stock one is raised on brake end. Also the wing washers is a must upgrade.

Yes, that's how I installed them, but they slide up exposing the shaft, but way better quality than the 6 ones.

I have this throttle horn on my car, I bought it from Mitch himself at a race in Myrtle Beach last April and I have loved it ever since. The thing is super tough and will never strip. Buy one of these and forget about it.

That doesn't matter. They fit tight against the shaft so dirt doesn't get in.
My mbx6 boots always teared at the ballend and they stayed pretty clean imo and these fit even better so I wouldn't worry too much.
