Went to a small local track on Saturday. Great day, lots of fun

Need to find a good setup for clay and low grip track. I have massive under steer.

Is anybody running this radio tray?

Serpent Model Racing Cars - Product - Radioplate carbon

If so do we have a parts list needed to make to conversion?

Nobody uses that radio tray. That was from the 1.0 buggy. It had a long throttle linkage that would go between the top of the carb and the cooling head and push the carb open instead if pull it like it is now.

Chad, thanks for the input. The more I looked into it it i realized it was a bad idea. Last night I found a video of Billy Easton showing it. I'll stick with the current radio tray even though I really do not like it.

You can not be serious sebtarta!!

Joking aside, as soon as I saw all the similarities to other manufacturers, that simply do not have the same way of thinking as classic Serpent and Kyosho designs, the SRX8 was not going to be for me.
One point in particular, is the SRX8 servo-saver horn not being within the chassis/body lines. If my budget does not permit me to have a Yuichi Kanai product then the Agama 215 SV would be up for serious consideration.

But until spares for my 'Classic' Serpent 811 Cobra Buggys 2.1 & 2.2 are impossible to get, I will stick with them. They are unique and the linkage system is awesome, despite what some might say.

Thank You Jowers,
Still running my 811's, just wish my reflexes could be faster. In the hands of one of Australia's top drivers, they were awesome!! So I know they are brilliant models.

So question, I have to replace a shock shaft on the front. Got the shafts, but they require a small screw to hold the piston. NOW, I am not able to find anywhere what size screw this part takes!

Serpent Model Racing Cars - Product - Shockshaft FR (2)

Does anyone have the part # or at least size screw that is needed for these?
Thank you

You can download the manual from the Serpent website here. It has all the expanded views and part numbers, for future reference.

Thank you!!
Well look at that! So the 2.1 manual is completely different, as it uses a nut, yet they have the same part # for the shock shaft. I was basing it out from the 2.1 manual not the 2.0
So now the question is, which is the part number for the shaft that has the threaded part for the piston.
