The set comes with new links because the stock ones are too long for the new Ackerman design. Serpent wouldn't supply them if you didn't need to use them!

in this case i agree with you but i still had to confirm because many times companies supply supplemental parts in a set that aren't needed.

arite guys thx for all the help with this new ackerman as i know its not complicated but after i got it installed the steering turnbuckle rides WAY to close to the sway bar mount. Upon suspension compression it actually rubs when steering! I thought I installed the turnbuckles the right orientation as the document on the website shows. Should I flip them around? I used the new tie rods provided too. Any ideas much appreciated

*note: I am using 1 bump steer spacer on both turnbuckles

You need to trim about 3mm off of the end of the sway bar on each end, then you will be good. That is probably the most annoying part of the install..

I cut mine with a dremel. You may be able to cut it with some sharp wire cutters or bolt cutters. A hack saw may also work, but I would avoid that as it wont be clean or precise..

What effect does the new Ackerman do or is it just the same as option 3.
Would be nice to have the 3 options on 1 Ackerman like other manufacturers.
The bearings are a nice addition as the old style just seems to work themselves loose and wear really quickly causing slop.
Nice work Billy

The new ackerman has more steering with out the sacrifice of being harder to drive. It also does not catch ruts and make the car flip over as easy at the old system. In my opinion it's just better in everyway.
