I am looking for a good steering servo for my new Losi XXX-T MF.
I have access to Futaba, airtronics, HiTech and multiplex.
should i go for Digital or analog servo ??
I just need something that will last and is quick.
What would you guys recommend.

servo?
the aitronics 94357, and the hitec hs925d are close in characterictics. both over 100 oz. torque with speed under .09 . the airtronics is more money and maybe better quality. I run the hitecs with no problem what so ever. If you want their brothers you could go with the 94358 or hs945d these are a little slower but have more torque. still plenty fast though.

i dont know whether i can ask you about this one or not...
i think i will run my buggy mostly on-road for the time being... coz the 'grass track' we ran our buggy is actually a public park and one of these days i think a policeman or safety GUARD will wait for us at the 'grass track' for us to SCREAM at us because we had killed the grass at the park....
so i think i will run more on-road with my buggy. I LOOOOOVE them....

L. Fairtrace - The Hydra-Drive helps on really rough and slippery tracks..sometimes I wish we were still running it..hahaha
Brownie - I run Losi's new white ballcups. Closed ends are great..but if you break one, you're done. My pit man always brings extra camber links with him during a long main, so they can be replaced quickly if one of the ballcups breaks.
vengeance - Is your gear mesh set correctly?
rc10t3 - Usually, those noises are made by incorrect gear mesh. Use a piece of paper in between your pinion and spur gear to correctly space out the teeth, tighten the motor down, and then slide the piece of paper out.
It could also be the gears in your transmission. Use a little bit of the white assembly grease from your kit on the gears of the tranny, and spin it through to lubricate all of the gears.
snikkari - I use Airtronics servos exclusively...if you're going to spend money on your own electronic equipment, make sure you get the best. I use the 94357 for steering. It's fast, has good torque, and centers very consistently. The link your provided is the 357 with the metal case..which is perfect!
mop_iko - Pro-Line makes a Road Hawg 1/8th scale tire that works great. As with most on-road tires, make sure you go up one tooth on your clutch bell to regain the gearing you will lose when going to smaller diameter tires.

that is a COOL answer..... now i know when i am on-road i have to have a smalller clutch bell!!!!! here goes my money !!!!! got to order that one!!!!

No no..when you're running on-road you are going to have smaller tires on. You need a larger clutch bell with smaller tires.
