Also...with the double shunt brushes, we usually cut off one of the shunts.

Adam - I'm not sure if I can or not..I will ask Chad about it if I see him online.
Casper - I'm not sure what the exact technical reasoning is, but Dieter was doiing that on the team motors while he was with Trinity, and we've been doing it quite often since then.

The size of shunt used on an electric motor brush is only good for a 5A load. Motors pull way more than that. Almost all of the power is conducted to the brush from the brush hood. It is very important to keep the insides of your brush hoods clean for this reason. Double shunts have more of a chance of hanging up the brush.
The problem with eyelets is you lose the alignment of the brush hood when you use them. Its best to cut them off and solder.

They run both shunts in touring car because of the low turn motors and crazy amp draw.

Is there anyone that makes a xxx nt/t yellow front bumper that is the standard size? I can't find them anywhere. A part number would be cool. Also Is there anyone that makes a yellow xxx t motor gaurd or rear bumper for the xxx t? A part number would be great for this too if they make a such thing,

karter, i dont know about aluminum bumpers but go to rpmrcproducts.com, you can get your part numbers from there.
maybe im crazy, but i think an aluminum bumper would be the pinnacle of bad ideas. just seems like it would get all bent out of shape (but maybe thats my driving )
