Hi Aaron,
Again I have a question for you.
I just bought XXX-T MF1,
I want 12 Turn motor, I have been looking at P-94, D5 and D6.
I was just surfing Trinity´s site and it sucks, it has no good information for me, what characteristics each motor type has.
So I dont know the difference between these types.
Trinity should think about making their site better.
I have bought Speed Gem 15 turn for my first XXX-T sport and the motor lasted very short, the comm broke where the parts meet, still I changed brushes every 6-10 battery and trued the comm every time. So I was put off getting Trinity again.
But since you seem to like their motors, I wonder what motors they have are good for racing, and what the difference is in the above mentioned types.

No problem!
Brushed motor technology is very fickle. Orion hit the nail on the head with their endbell design..their motors last forever and are easy to maintain. Our motors make SICK power but they're a little more work.
The D5's and D6's have the P-94 brush hoods on them. I use D5's for off-road racing because of the extra torque. D6's rev higher and are great for touring car, but the powerband can feel a little narrow for off-road racing.
My race motors are D5 cans with D6 armatures.

Are you serious? I just love the D6 can (quad mag) for 2WD! With a D6 can, the bottom end is much less (no wheelies, more traction coming out of turns), but the mid-range is super sweet, and it just keeps on revving on the straight.
Dunno about 4WD and truck though, you may need that bottom end grunt in 4WD.

Flat wire will spool-up faster and have more torque because the weight of the wire is closer to the centerline of the arm. Top end will not necessarily be much better, but your torque will be improoved. Round wire will have the basic mod characteristics. Don't misunderstand, the round wire will still be silly fast, but the flat wire will get you there faster.

Aaron, thanks for your great advice.
I was wondering how important the sticker is that lines the batter compartment on the xxx graphite cars. Does it really prevent some type of conduction between the chassis and and battery? Do you have a recommendation on what I can use to line the batter compartment with other than that sticker. The sticker has a tendency to tear apart after a while and I end up lining it with electrical tape which doesn't last that long either. Thanks.

Most of the team prefers the round wire armatures. They're a little less finicky when it comes to heat and the ensuing power loss. And trust me when I say that round wire armatures have no problem making power!
elvo - The difference is all in the throttle finger.
timmerica - It stops the battery from shorting out on the chassis..VERY important. Head to a local motorcycle shop and pick up the plastic sheets they use to back number plates with on motocross bikes. One package will last you forever.

The reason I was not happy with the Speed Gem 15x2 was probably cause I have been using wrong brushes, just standard fantom hi-silver, instead of the P-94 ones( wich are bigger).
I have now finally desided what motors to get.
Trinity D5 12 Turn Modified Motor Single(round wire)
and
Trinity P-94 15T Double rpm motor.
Now I need your help to choose brushes for them.
As told before I will be using the motors in XXX-T and run them on a fairly tight-medium track.
These are the brushes I have acces to on Towerhobbies.com

Snikkari - We often use the 4380EPNT brush, which is the high copper P-94 brush, because it's easier on the comm. If you need a little extra power, the 4383EPNT, which is the dual shunt silver brush.
I don't know if there is any measurable performance loss by using the eyelets, but it's one extra thing that can go wrong. The NT in the part number means "no terminal".
