Default towers

Talked to Jim at King Headz and the shock towers should be done any day. He said they should be done at the anodizer by the 9th and will be taking pre-orders for the first batch any day. This is great news and now I can get rid of the paper stock towers. The rest of the car is strong but the towers are a joke.

Strange you guys are having problems with the towers. I have taken some nasty tumbles with it, no problems except the body has torn....other then that its been great. Just working on getting a setup that works right now.

The stock towers delaminate. I have to say everyone I know that runs the car on Supercross style tracks like the Nitro Pit has delaminated the tower glued or not. Mine delaminated on a flat landing not even a crash. I will be the first in line for the King Headz towers.

i will say some good aluminum towers definitely are not a bad thing. But, that being said, other than the horrific crash I had at AMS that caused my front tower to crack, I have had no other issues. I have had some good rough tumbles on big supercross tracks with no other damage.

The track in the picture looks like a onroad track next to what we run on.

I was just messin with you, I am sure your track is cool. I am just saying I have had issues with the tower and I can't wait to get new ones. The car is strong, if you can make it through a 20min main at the nitro pit with out any broken plastic you know it's strong. I just want the extra security of the King Headz aluninum tower.

Sounds like a manufacturing defect: if CF is fabricated properly it shouldn't de-laminate like that. I guess Serpent are still working out some bugs...
