I just picked up my first Losi 8ight 2.0 buggy. Just looking for some tips and upgrades for it but 847 pages?! Cant the chit chat be removed and the tech highlighted?! haha. This is gonna take awhile. :D

I have the TLR 8ight T 2.0 version coming soon. Is there any upgrades this truggy needs or is it great out of the box? Will be using a lipo pack and also any recommemdation for servos that will handle 7.4 volt. Would like to build this thing once instead of adding to it later.

Alum. Servo saver top and alum. rear gear box inserts are a must. I would highly recommend getting the V2 rear shock tower. Could other nice options are the 10* castor blocks, inclined spindles and adjustable hinge pin holders(make sure to get the LRC one for the rear) |
I personally wouldn't be investing in Inclined or Non Inclined spindle and carrier's just yet. With the "3.0" parts on the horizon it appears they are throwing us a curve ball and changing up said parts.

Best thing I ever did for the truck was to buy the V2 rear tower. You wont be disapointed... |

Hey guys got a shock q?
I was changing my shock oil on my 8T 2.0 and noticed a potential problem. When I took the caps off the rear shocks and compressed the shock fully, the piston comes all the way out the cap. Bottom of the piston sits a little higher than the top of the shock body. I even replaced the shaft's with the Nitrade ones, same thing. Eyelets are definitelly screwed on all the way. Front shocks look normal with the top of the piston sitting a little below the top. Is it normal on these cars for the rears to be like this? It just seems odd and looks like it could possibbly do damage to the piston/bladder if it compressed to far? |
