What clutch bearings do you all use? I use TKO because they last a really long time.

Need some advice!!!
My truck is running great but there are two thing I want to perfect, traction roll (i think) and rear end stepping out on a high speed sweeper. The track I run on has some carpet areas and some loamy dirt areas. In a couple of parts on the infield, I will try to carry as much momentum as I can through the turn. When I carry a little to much speed I will go into three wheel motion (rear tire comes off ground) and sometimes both tires come off the ground. Is there anything I can do to allow me to carry more speed without rolling the truck????? Next small issue is the rear end swinging around. There is a high speed turn entering the front straight and I enter the turn great. But as I exit the turn and apply throttle the back end comes around very quickly. I started giving less and less throttle but still it kept breaking loose. If I increased the diff oil would that help??? What could I do to reduce this???? Thanks for the help fellas.. |

getting some irritations with my brakes binding on my truggy. I'm running the split diff with black pads. The pads are spaced correctly between the calipers at times they lockup my kit dives after a jump gotta hit the throttle.
Sunday took off the brake pins where the calipers slide on sanded but still have the same problem. Noticed that the brake linkage rod which pass into the brake cam linkage doesn't slide back after the brakes are released. I cure the problem with a piece of fuel hose ran it through the brake linkage hitting the cam leg which forces the cam to go into the neutral position after hitting the brake. This was a fast fix but its not ideal since the fuel hose effects my ability to adjust/ increase brake strength since the fuel hose is bind ed against the throttle horn. Any suggestions |

Make sure your brake pads aren't worn out. They will develop a groove on the back where the brake cams press on them and that can cause the brakes to lock up. I would just replace the pads and discs. Should solve your problem.;)
what kind of disk measurements are you spacing at? book says from the outside of pads 7.8MM on fibers, and add .5mm for black disks. so im reading i think 4. MM in between disks. |
I had that problem before, I was over tightening the 4 screws holding down the top plate on the center diff. Snug them down in as cross patten. Hope this fixes your problem.
