there are many reasons why the track blew out that bad. the main reason being that they tryed to completely rebuild the track 2 weeks before the event without putting enough water down to cure the new surface
here is a pic of my old 8T and 8B aluminium hubs. the one on the left was on my truggy and has a 16x8x5 bearing in it and the one on the right is stock and was on my buggy Attachment 415906 |
FYI, I mounted up a AKA truggy rim last night to check clearance and found they do NOT rub at all on the arm like the losi rims.

+1 to the AKA rims. I ran my 2.0 today for the 1st time and all I can say WOW what a difference. This is an execellent truck. Corner speed is up and stability is incredible. Then I installed a front and center smart diff and the truck is unstopable. I even had to up the fluid in the rear to 3k. The truck drives like it's on rails. The only gripe I have is the poor workmanship of Losi when they put the truck togeather. The truck cane with a stripped shock end and then within 2 laps around the track the other rear shock end stripped out. 1/2 hour later the rear inner camber link came loose I don't think it was ever tight. So I went through the truck and found many loose screws. Anyway +1 to the losi engineering dept they are dead on with the 2.0. I love it

8T w/ smart diff
Off power steering is insane. If I got stuck on a tabletop that deadended into a wall on one side I could let off the throttle and make a u turn to get straight again. The off power turning radius is insanely small. Then when on the throttle the truck had tons of foward bite. Very difficult to get the truck out of shape. Without the smart diffs the truck was awsome but with them it's like the difference between the 1.0 and 2.0. So with smart diffs it's a 2.0S. The S is for speed.

what are you guys talking about when you mention 3/3 or 3/3.5??
So the smart diffs are that good eh?? I was wondering how nice they would be. So i guess i gotta add those to my amain order as well?? Just 2?? or all 3 or what?? Im the type of person that seems to always want the latest and greatest and the best. So if it requires all 3, then im down! |

Smart diffs center is a must and front for tight technical tracks, the rear is not offered, thats my opinion. |
i have just ordered the centre smart diff to give a shot didnt get the front one yet why do you say the centre one is certainly a must and what advantage will the centre smart diff give me what will it do to the car driving just running the centre smart diff ????
cheers |

Scott Rapoport's 8ight-T 2.0
Well, the truck is ready now. I showed you the body last week, now here it is on the truck. I was going to race it this past Saturday, but we were rained out. Guess I'll have to wait until next Saturday.
