i have the ultimate pro radio tray alluminum brace and was wondering if it makes it too stiff and would put extra load on the throttle servo!...my hitec 645mg's keep blowing out!....

are you using the 2.0 linkage ? on your 1.5

deadmancourt 07-24-2010 08:01 PM

no!

deadmancourt 07-24-2010 08:01 PM

thats why its only the 1.5:lol: ...just a couple more things left!:D

If you don't already have a 2.0 radio tray, it is a MUST! The 2.0 tray dramatically cuts down on servo issues. 2.0 tray, linkage and proper setup/EPA's should solve your problems. As I said earlier though, I just don't think the 645 is enough servo for a truggy.;)

well if you have the 1.0 radio tray, still just slap on a radio tray stiffer i have yet to blow a servo on the 1.0 knock on wood lol.

deadmancourt 07-24-2010 08:06 PM

ok cool!...how many oz of tourqe should i have for throttle!....once i get the 2.0 tray and linkage should i still run the aluminum brace or no?

No brace on the 2.0 tray. It won't fit. It isn't really about the torque, but the quality of the servo. I just don't think the 645 has the toughness needed. Best bet is 7955 and be done with it. It will cost you more up front, but I guarantee you won't have an issue out of it.;)

since you metion that the, hitec 645 isnt enough for a truggy well im using a futaba 9451 servo on the throttle on my truggy. and the brakes dont seem to work that good ?

it did work good on my buggy... if i remember the specs on the servo are 133 oz of torque at 6v.

I ran a 9451 in my truggy for a LONG time without one little issue or lack of performance. Something is wrong with your brake setup. The Futaba 9451/BLS451 are awesome throttle/brake servos. Not as tough as a 7955 though, so they do need more care taken when setting them up. Other downsides are you can't run a unreg. lipo and you're out of luck when it comes to a warranty if you have an issue.;)

when i tested the brake bias though, the brakes are working but soon as i go on the track they will , work good than they will feel weak ? the brake pads barely have any runs, on them and i did lightly stuff them too.

could i push the brake collars in maybe that would work ?

the brake pads arent the stock 1.0 brake disc, there the advantage brake disc with the holes in them. there blue

Get the new 2.0 black pads. The fiber ones are bad for brake fade even after using sand paper on them, they will fade in the first race. Also the 2.0 brake calipers (metal peices) are alot thicker then the 1.0 ones.
