7/10/3 truggy and 5/5/3 or 5/7/3 buggy. Those are what I usually run.

I have been thinking about going back to reg diffs. I have been running sd's for ever. In the truggy where is a good place to start 7-10-3? Andi know this is the truggy thread but can you give me some pointers for the buggy too. 5-5-3? In the buggy? I didn't want to post in 2 threads. Thanks. J know the electrics are different but I was told to pu. 10-7-4 in it and it smoothed it right out. Any advice is apprecitated.
I also pulled my Center SD in truggy for this past weekends race and used the norm 7-10-3 and really didn't notice much difference. The track was favorable for the SD as it was rather loose and somewhat bumpy but i honestly didn't feel the need for the SD...the Standard diff worked just dandy...Took Tq and the win to boot. ;) buggy i've always ran 5-5-2....Ive been tempted to try 7 in the center but rarely have the traction to justify it. Maybe this weekends JC race in Omaha might change that tho. |
I guess I'm lucky. We get to run on high traction all the time around here.:D

bump box
I broke the belt in my bump box today. Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to after run the motor and am scrambling to borrow one locally for that.
I want to buy a second bump box, any suggestions? |
Ofna truggy start. Best box around. Twin 775's.;)
|
thank you
Thank you. I called the local shop and they have them in stock. A broken bump box was not something I anticipated, but having two of them solves the problem.
|
Diff oils for me = 7/10/3 for the truggy, 5/5/2 for nitro buggy and 5/7/2 for electric buggy.
X2 on the Ofna truggy bump box. Add a lipo and its dialed. |
How do you guys like running 3,000wt in the rear diff opposed to the standard 2,000wt diff fluid?
When I tried 3k it made the truck feel a little "pushy". |
2 fades too quick.. once the 3 wears in it wont push

The 2k breaks down very quickly, especially in the truggy. The 3k will feel a tad less responsive at first, but once it wears in a bit, it stays right in the "golden zone" for much longer than the 2k does.;) |

What truggy diff oil's would you guys normally run for loose\slick track conditions?
|
Thanks for the suggestion on the bump box. Its way better than the RTR box. My engine is so tight.
You guys are making me want to race. |
Thanks for the diff oil suggestions. I am going back to reg diffs and see if I like them still.

losi
question i just replaced all the screw hardware with the titanium kit and titanium turn buckles and camber links , now with losing so much weight should i run lighter shock oils or springs ?
