Neither do I but sometimes, its all I've got and have given them to fellow racers to have instead of not running at all.

i wont run all alum just because your creating more heat in the cluch and the slag doesnt get cleaned up since there is no comp shoes. with more heat in the bell you CAN blow bearings and warp the bell. If i would of kept running nova i might of gone up in springs to all gold. Silver is just to much.

I did get to see the alpha in action not long ago, im real tempted to grab one,i know off topic lol

I getting well over a gallon on a set of clutch bell bearings and they still feel fine with all aluminum. I've found the biggest killer of clutch bell bearings are using cheap bearings and not setting up your end play right.

my avg on bearings and shoes are about 2.5 gallons in both buggy and truggy. bearings are still perfect when i change and shoes get tossed when it measures at 23.4 or slightly before. The main thing are tko clutch bearings. I use to run avids, they were inconsistent, some last forever some dont last 1 tank. i got about 1-1.5 gallons on a clutch. when i switched bearings i gained about a gallon more on my shoes. i agree with the cheap bearings, i dont understand ppls argument since switching to tko, they say "well i just change the bearings before my main, there only a dollar." thats 2 dollars a swap. say your looking at a gallon on a clutch. thats about 3 bearing swaps. your already at what tko's cost. say you can get two gallons well now your lookin at double the cost of tko. Since swapping to tko i have not had a bearing blow. all i do is wipe the bearings off, dont do anything more then that. Tko bearngs Rule.

Check where the throttle servo sits next to the side mud guard. Mine was hitting and I lost 6 jr9100's before a team driver showed me what the issue was. I dis a little dremmel work on it and no more issues. Here's a pic after I dremmeled it.

well i run a coreless diginal servo, for my throttle on my eight -t i would say you would want aobut 130 oz of torque and about .15 or .13 in speed.

the good thing about having a, diginal servo for the throttle is its smooth and if you mess up in the air... you can quickly fix your problem to land right.

but it can be bad on a loose track, it can cause more wheelspin but thats why you have throttle expo to turn it down.

i run a futaba 9351 servo allsome servo .

dont bother with $40 to $60 servos i know .

deadmancourt 07-17-2010 11:34 PM

thanks i will double check that!...i looked all around it before and @ that spot and it looked fine!....first i thought it was my EPA but i checked the throttle pull and gave it a little less than wide open!..then checked the brakes..put it this way i havent had good brakes for a while cause i thought that was the issue:flaming:...but its not!...

oh nevermind he can fix his problem doing that.

deadmancourt 07-17-2010 11:35 PM

well i checked the clearence thing and it is fine!...it does not go anywhere near the chassis or the chassis gaurds!

Is the throttle link pulling straight. if the link is running on an angle it will cause drag, this repeatitively could cause your servo to blow
