Sounds like you were waiting too long to change your bearings.

Been running aluminum spindles for a long time, and I have yet to have a bearing seize in one. One set I have is modded by J-DUB and they're awesome with the 16mm bearing. Wish Losi would have just done it that way in the first place. Maybe they'll catch on some day... probably not.;)

You almost have to with the new inclined 10*spindles and hubs though.

Man I hear that. I have the little 14mm bearings they just blow up too fast the 16mm are much better. I need to find someone around here that can get them bored out so it doesn't take 10-12 days to get the stuff back. Either that or get a second inclined spindle and just send one at a time n

That's what I was thinking of doing. I'll have to talk to Jerry about it. I assume he can do the inclined version without any issues. I'd hate to pull them off for a couple weeks, so buying a second set might be worth it. I still need a set of inclined spindles/carriers for my buggy anyway. I've been able to avoid issues with the 14mm bearings in the front by changing them often. Rears are impossible to keep up with. The inclined spindles are just so much better that it is worth the extra work and bearing costs to run them. I'd love to have an inclined set with a 16mm bearing.

the bearings are still good when i toss them. I change my bearings regularly. the fit is just so tight the bearing always broke when i took it out, my dad has even had that issue, btw this is only with the spindles. with my king headz rear hubs i dont have this issue . Since going back to the plastic i dont have any issues w/ getting the bearing out of the spindle. Plus alum weighs more. Mod the front spindle and youll get just as much throw as you will with the alum. Billy fisher taught me this and ive never had an issue.

btw tony, I havent had a bearing fail(other then the 8x14 in the rear b4 going to the king headz) since back when i ran the 1.0 and i will admit it i didnt maintain my cars like i do now.

I don't know, I've never had an issue getting a bearing out of the aluminum spindles. I have multiple sets and bearings pop out of them all pretty easily. I have no issues running a plastic spindle, but with the new inclined spindles, that is impossible.;)

I thought the verdict was for truggy incline wasn't a big improvement but the buggy was?

Don't know where you got that idea. I LOVE the inclined setup on my truck.

i think losi just has a very tight fit. i know with the king headz its a loose fit.

I've got a set of alluminum front spindles and it is very difficult to get the inner bearing out when I replace them. The outer bearing just falls out but the inner one I pretty much fave to use a punch to tap it out. I have never had a bearing fail on these , just tuff to get out.

Rear KHZ carriers...bearings fit super loose too.

Hey on another note...has anyone ever cracked the flywheel where the pins hold the shoe on? At last weeks race I had this happen in practice. Right across the top where you insert the pins it snapped.

can be use on the LOSI 8 B/T 2.0. before i purchase it.
