How do you blow rear diffs? it seems like each race i do. the rear diff always blows out. can someone explain im not on the throttle when a land

Are you stripping the ring and pinion or are you stripping the internal diff gears?

My guess is the ring and pinion and that is due to improper shimming.

Bad shimming, too much rear brake, on the gas hard when landing.

First, what do you mean by blow read diff? What is happening? What parts are being damaged? Is it popping or locking up on you? Most common is the popping. You just need to shim it tighter.

Are you using the alum bearing holder?

the ring and pinion are stripping out
and using stock plastic holders

Proper shimming and aluminum bearing holder will fix it.

Also doesn't hurt to make sure your rear brakes are set up correctly and not locking out.

the ring and pinion gears are striping out and im using the stock housings

In addition to using the LOSA4454 Aluminum Diff Inserts, maybe pick up a set of Innovative RC Aluminum Diff Cups

I have a set on the way and have heard really good things about them. Shipping was fast and cheap to USA from UK.

Let me know how you like that diff cup. I haven't seen it heard of those before. Looks like they add more weight and rotating mass but if it fixes my rear diff blowing issues than I'm game. I picked up an 8ight 1.0 rear diff case and am interested to see how it holds up. People say they hold up better than the 2.0 rear diff case. Plastic certainly feels stronger

Its not the diff cups. I have never had any issue with the diff cups. I use the standard cups to decrease rotating mass. I change them out when the spider gears create a notch in the inside of the cup.

I dont run the Alum diff holders, I use plastic but change them out all the time. I strongly suggest you pick up the Alum holders or new plastic holders, take your time and shim correctly. If the rear diff is popping you need to stop driving and fix your diff. The pop is the warning.

Whats wrong with the case? Rear diff is all in the shimming... Got to shim it tight..

In my experience the gearbox gets expanded and warped which causes the shim in the ring and pinion to get out of whack, leading to a blown rear diff
