also what plug are you using?
and should i be worried about stripping the piece on the motor or just the shaft? cuz i dont care about the shaft honestly i just dont wanna mess up my motor |
Does anyone know the stock ride height on the sc8's? I just put on big bores and I cant remember what it was set at. I dont think measuring the gap between the collar and the top (the way they do in the manual) will be accurate because im using ofna springs and the shocks seem different

ok so i got a heat gun today and i tried warming it up that definlty lets it spin more freely. now my question is the book that came with it said turn the low speed needle in all the way and then back it off 6.25turns but thats not right at all (assuming each turn is 12 hours) that makes the screw stick out of the carb about 1/8th inch it that makes sence so i guess im asking for the first time starting where should i set the needles and please dont just say stock bacause i already changed it fromm stock and i dont know wat stock is

I know a lot of guys like the buggies, and I've driven a 1/8 scale and yes they work way better, but if your into the scale look this SC8 truck is bad ass!!! I had a Slayer and I have a Slash. I SOLD the Slayer because it was a joke next to the SC8, so now all I race is the SC8 and the Slash. The Slayer broke every few laps. I do drive hard, but the SC8 handles it. And I know people dont like Nitros, yea they got pros and cons, but the sound and having to do pit stops like the real thing is cool. I come from desert racing in trucks so this is right up my alley and yea I thought It was a lot of money but now I'm over that, you have to drive one on a track. If more people had these and they get class's for them I bet a lot more people would watch these instead of the buggies. They look way to cool going around the track.

Ruggydriver what is the altitude where you race. I live in Littleton Colorado and it is around 5500 feet and my low speed is at 4 1/2 and my high speed is at 3 1/4. If your close to sea level you should be at 6 to 6 1/2 turns out on the low speed and 4 1/3 to 5 turns on the high speed. The low speed will be about 1 turn out past flush. Hope that helps.

I do drive hard, but the SC8 handles it. Way cool... I ran mine the other day with a Slayer, not even a comparison...like most Traxxas stuff, they aren't race cars...good for the backyard. |
