We race sun lakes. The only thing broke on 2 mugens was a very small cracked rear arm. Not sure why everyone is saying that they break easy. In our experience its been the most durable car I have seen.

We were only a few to even finish the 45 main with no problems. Raced all night last night at sun lakes not one broken part.

I broke front arm too, and front tower shock. But I don't sell my mbx6 because it's the best buggy I ever drove!

I have had the same arms on my MBX6 for the last year and half and only the left rear has a small crack in the webbing that i have been running on the car for the last two months. I am no expert driver but my arms dont even have slop in them after this period of time. Not to be mean but it sounds more like something is over tightened or bound up or something else is wore out that needs to be replaced and is causing extra stress on the arms. Either that or just a couple of losi drivers bashing the mugen. LOL JK

not defending the car blindly, but I have broken one lower front arm (on a HARD crash), one rear arm (fatigue breakage), two front shock towers, one rear tower, two -1/2.75 rear blocks since I started running the car... in April 2009

no durability concerns afai'm concerned... honestly if you keep breaking arms like this with the mbx6, you will break pretty much any car just the same. Don't follow the hype at the track

had mine for almost 2 years and never broke an arm. Actually the only plastics i have broke is a tie rod end and the rear brace on the bulkhead, and those were unbelievably bad crashes. I only replace arms when they sag. If you are breaking arms like that, something is wrong. You sure they are on the right side of the car?

Sounds like setup problem to me. OR, there is a bad batch of platic going around.

Default duribility

first let me say, about 3-4 months ago we started to run the MBX6 out there, and with Brandons good runs alot of guys started to look at the car, there was only one other guy that would race at the track. After about a month of racing with it, we noticed more and more guys were getting the Mugen. Don't get me wrong there good cars all the way around, theres only a few and I mean a few, that have good luck with them, recently it seems like there just not holding up.
For the guys that have never raced out here out in the desert, the tracks we run on are not soft smooth surface. Out here its clay based, with rocks, and you can water all you want, but its like concrete, towards the end of the day it gets rutted up, and the tracks are faily high speed with rather large jumps. You'd have to race on it to know what the difference is, most guys know that chassis don't last long out here. I'm not making excuses, granted any manufacter car can break under certain conditions, some more that other, recently there's been a huge drop in the mugens showing up at the track, and I think it has to do with the durilibity more than anything else.

Anyone no the weight diff between the Losi 2.0 and the Mbx 6? Losi's site doesnt say the weight . Drove one yesterday and seemed very light, and I really liked the way it jumps. Still like the Mugen but just curious.

I just had experience weighing both with identical gear in them. The Mugen before any lightened options was 7lb 5oz ready to race minus fuel. The Losi 2.0 buggy also 7lb 5oz before weight savings. The Losi was taken down to 7lb 3oz and the Mugen was down to 7lb 2oz

Quit wrecking all the time and you won't break parts. Tyler's buggy is almost 2 years old now and have put 1 set of uppers on, and 2 sets of lowers on due to wrecking. Usually just replace to keep car fresh.

Sounds like people are getting beat by another brand so they are just wanting an excuse to switch. Same people will complain when they switch to another car and they are getting beat by something else.

I used to run a Losi too and it broke way more than the new Mugens. Plus Losi was wore out plastic wise after 1 weekend of racing.

Have fun running your Slosi's.
