Looking forward to see your experiences. Good luck, I am sure you will get used to the car in no time.

Default Diff O-Rings

Hi everybody!

I got a queswtion about the S5 orings we use in our diffs... Anyone know what are the exact sizes?

I picked up some 1.78 x 5.34 x 1,78 they were way too tight, so I changed to the 3 x 5 x 1 they seemed too loose.

My problem is the originals donīt last more than a couple of hours, so I want to try out different types of material.

I have heard that I should go to a Injection repair center, as the rings they use are very soft.

Thanks for you help.

Yeah dude the o'rings suck!!!!!

I have tried a few from around the traps but same as you said either to tight or to loose.

Try Tony's screws i think he has some replacement ones that might do the trick, i think they are just that tiny bit bigger that the stock ones!

+1 on the Tony's o-rings!!! They are just a little bigger than stock and last a LONG time:

Guys, I've been using the stock O-ring for years, they are fine. Just smear a little AE green slime on them before you install them. I have no leak issues. Same with the shock o-rings. Works great.

Travis. A. – if/when you get a chance to test the optional overdrive gearing for the rear diff, please let us know what you feel about it. Just added it to my MBX6 and will be testing it out next weekend.

Cheers Kev

Its optional original mugen gearing for the rear diff that came out around Aug 08, E0244 and e0245,they must be used together. It sends more drive to the front diff or you could say takes away a little drive from the rear. My experience is it helps pull the car when on throttle, reminds me of my mrx4x on -road car to a certain extent.
