There not extra thick for X-RAY just normal but that makes them twice as thick as some brands but they are super straight & very hard & dont bow over time & use. 4 or 5 agl on mine & still gold colored.

Hey allan if you would have bothered checking the link you would have read the words "optional hardened brake pads for X-RAY XB8 line of buggys" & then you wouldnt have looked like this

What I was trying to explain is their the same thickness as the stock 808 pads & they are thicker than on any other buggy I have.

Does anyone have a copy or a link to the May RC CAR Kris Moore article. It sounds rather good. I can't seem to find it myself.

Its honestly not all that helpful. The article claims it is a tuning guide but really Kris Moore just says that him and his team drivers keep the mbx6 almost stock everywhere they go. Here's a brief synopsis of the article: They start with 400 and 350 in the rear in terms of shock fluid, and use 5-7-3 or 5-7-5 in the diffs. Kris says to tune the car by starting with changing the tires and then progressively moving on to the shock fluid if need. He also says that you may need to run lighter shock fluid if you use AKA tires. Furthermore, Kris says that the lighter optional parts help you go through the bumps a bit better. The article isnt life shattering stuff, in fact you can almost get more insight by reading whats posted on here, most of the time.

That's pretty much the article in a few sentences lol.
