50wt. seems a little high for the lower outside temps wright know. I think I've solved the 1/2 offset situation by using the buggy wheel hubs (not the narrow truggy hubs). They should work shouldn't they?

I used the buggy hubs when all I had were 1/2 offset wheels left from the CRT.

They work fine, however you'll need to scallop your rear arms to provide clearance for the wheel...run the pin in the bottom hole of the hub, and compress the arm all the way up. You'll see what I mean.

Go to 30 oil and see how it feels. I also run 43-44 on the rear ride height.

Thanks everyone! I like the 30wt. idea a little better. I've tried to get a little more rear ride height but I feel like I've got to much preload on the springs already so I've settled at 41mm.

If that doesn't help u might have to invest in some diff tires. Most every setup depends on tires. Hope this helps. I think u can also go out on the lower shocks and in on the top. This is going to plant the rear end so u might start to push.

With the AE blocks you can go down to 2deg but if you want 2.5 you will need the M2C racing ones.

Default RC8Te or CE converted

I am going to add an e version to the RC8 family. Any thoughts on whether to buy the RC8Te or the RC8T CE and the associated conversion kit. I know the CE has all the bells and whistles, but it's considerably more $$$ plus the $80 for the conversion. The e is kinda stripped down, I'd add the M2C blocks or CE blocks but wouldn't have to buy the conversion.

As far as shocks, is there any noticeable performance difference between the composite big bores vs. the threaded aluminum? If I buy the aluminum bodies and caps, would the shocks then be the same? The shock bodies themselves are almost 1/2 the price of the shocks so that probably wouldn't make sense.

I'm leaning towards the e unless I hear convincing arguments for the CE. I already have a new style body (Proline bull dog), the Jconcepts tire wing body package is nice but not necessary. I've got nib Jconcepts tires so with the wheels coming w/ the e, I'd have the equivalent to the CE. As far as shock towers, do the CE have the same geometry and only add 'bling'? My RC8T doesn't have the new CE shocks and it's fine. Is the chassis the same between the 2? If not I just won a CE chassis on Ebay so that's not an issue really.

I guess I'm kinda convincing myself, but I'm still open to input. If money wasn't a factor I'd go w/ the CE and conversion, but this is just a curiousity with the electric, I'm a nitro guy for sure!

AE only has one style D block. You can only change the toe in one deg. increments.1 dot=3deg,2dot in=2deg,2 dot out=4deg.

hey guys, i have a quick question. How is the durability of the factory team rc8t? i have always run losi and i am considering a switch. I know that the losi and rc8 are both excellent cars and my losi's have always been very durable so i was wondering how the rc8t was, and what its week point were?

Thanks in advance
