Hey guys I just put a new rod, piston, and sleeve in my os speed. I did a brakein and things were good until I got on the track. Now the motor revs real high when the truck is off the ground after a jump. I fatten the low neddle but that didnt fix it. I'm running a #7 restrictor, but i'm going to try a #8 Or #9 restrictor and if that doesnt get it then a different carb. BTW NO LEAKS but I did notice that I had to really prime the hell out of it to start. The fuel just didnt move up to the carb with my finger over the pipe. Has anyone ever had this issue???? :f laming:

your idle gap is too far open

if you need any more help, there are tons of OS pros in the engine section of this area, at the top of the page.

Yea as others have been saying, you should lean it on the low end until you have a stable but very high idle. Then you just decrease the idle on the idle screw.

This is a tuning issue....no need for restrictor or carb changes...read up, these are simple little mills...

you should lean it on the low end until you have a stable but very high idle.
Yeah.............let's remedy the situation by LEANING for starters...this guy must sell mills for a living....

I haven't seen it posted but am willing to bet it is probably VERY close to the 2009 Nats winning setup (maybe even identical). Ryan hardly ever changes his truggy setup. It was even the same tires from '09.

Now, one more question... any difference between the blue aluminum towers and the carbon towers?

only differences are how much they weight and the color . Carbon ones are lighter.

The aluminum ones have pre machined holes for the JC punisher body, the carbons require drilling or the adapter that JC sells.
