I have to admit that using wider hex in Buggy really helps on the corners. What I've done is I used the Truggy hexes on the back. Only one issue is that you need to dremel a bit on the hex pin in the middle so that the fastening screw goes a bit deeper and prevents the pin from backing out as the buggy wheel does not cover the pin hole. Also I put truggy hexes in front but I removed 1mm as I'm running pretty wide wheel base anyway.

I am running the Mugen MBX5R buggy and the OCM truggy. All is working pretty well after fixing some issues with the truggy, it is fast. Poor Mark is now playing catchup to me in truggy lol.

the kits have for a while now, 1.5 to 3 rear toe plates
instead of to 3.5 degrees
so we had to discount 0.25°
in the rear toe-in insert table

Might be a stupid question but how do you change caster on this buggy. Seems to me the upper arm spacer as well as the front inbard tor in postion change it. What does the upper arm position do? Thanks

with the pillowball system
if you put the shims in front at the upper arms
you give definitely more caster...
shims at the rear of the arms gives less
more caster means generally less off-power steering
and a bit more on-power
front inboard toeing out can induce a little less caster
and also a shorter wheelbase
due to the arms getting angled more to the rear
so it creates more steeringpower..
as to the upperarm position:
basicely, lower position induces more lowspeed steering
higher more on-power
if you go up at the front insert, you get a bit more caster too

Thanks speedy2, this is my first pillowball truggy, still chasing the setup. Out track is tight with a lot of hairpins, usually loose. Depending how I take the corner it wants to pudh wide in center or if I take corner tight it wants to swap ends coming out.

shock tower location - middle hole middle row
