Well...I noticed the link for the Cody King set-up sheet does not work. I just started building my EVO and forgot to order diff fluids so tell me...is the (7000 front, 10,000 middle...3000 rear) the best combo to go with? Also with the stock springs...what is a decent shock fluid combo to go with?

Again, the setup sheet had all of my questions answered the page says it is no longer available...I do not remember what his diff and shock setups were though...

Also...I noticed the pictures with the forward mount battery. I have that same setup in my MP9 and love it so I am assuming I should try the same thing on the EVO correct?
Thanks in advance.

Diff fluids are 10-10-3 shocks are 45 front and 55 rear. From Tebo's set up.

Hi Guys, I'm working on my Evo build and have a couple Tebo's 2010 set-up questions.

1. Are any of you guys using the 48 Spur per Tebo's set-up? That should be a more "high speed" gear.

2. Blue or Hard aluminum clutch shoes? We use to always use the blue shoes on the older ST-RR, but I noticed the new Evo comes with the hard shoes ( same as MP9 ) Tebo's set-up doesn't say which??

One last thing. Has anyone noticed the shock springs that are included in the Evo kit look more like the "light blue" springs compared to the dark blue springs?? The spring rates may be the same, but the actual kit springs look more like the light blue on my MP9 than the dark blue that everyone uses??

You will want the 48 for more low end power all around to clear jumps ect. If you only have the stock shoes i would use blue. Personally i run the four shoe ascendency clutch on my truck with two alum with 1.0 and two carbon with .90. I have not used the evo spring i still use the old blue springs, but im sure you can use the light blues and would work great.

The springs are the light blue, I do not know why everyone is calling them the dark blue. I have a set of darks that were on the WC but I don't think the springs have changed from the RR to the Evo. I still run the blue shoes with the 1.1 springs but have not tried the brown hards. I still run the 50 tooth as well.

My kit came with the dark blue springs. I even compared them to my springs on my MP9 and sure enough they are a bit darker.

Yes I just noticed that Tebo's versus King's EVO setup Tebo is using a 48 tooth spur gear as opposed to the 50 tooth. I also noticed that the Cody King setup is using a 14t clutch bell instead of the 13t that comes with the kit...maybe this helps give the buggy some more low end while running a larger tooth spur gear?...the kit obviously comes with the 50 tooth but is it that much of a difference in low end power to go with the 48?
I think I'm ordering a 48 tooth spur anyway because I do ride at a smaller track. There is a larger track but most of my riding is on a smaller track. I would think low end power would be the way to go on smaller tracks.

Smaller spur equals taller gear ratio equals more top
larger spur equals shorter gear ratio equals more torque

Thats what I meant

I know better , der da der , not quite sure what I was thinking
