scott hughes set up from jakarta nitro worlds.
http://www.mugenracing.com/image/rac...scottwcx5r.pdf
i use this but on the front kick up plate i use -2 with 40w associated shock oil in front 35 in back. i run 5000 f-5000 c -3000 r diff fluid. if the track gets blown out the 5000 in the center makes it easier to drive (for me anyway). the -2 plate makes it steer more on throttle instead of trying to coast a corner. this set up imo is just a good starting point.

Ice, I have a setup you can try if you would like it pm me. it is my standard setup that works very well for me and has more than enough steering, the rear comes around and would be considered a touch loose but it is very controllable.

If you really want to eat up bumps then run the rear shocks with 1.4 pistons and 400 (losi/AE 32.5) oil with the lower shock mounted to the inner hole on the arm. The oil and piston feel very heavy on the bench, ignore it. You will be amazed how you can fly across bumps on throttle. Limit rear droop to what you would normally run (you can use more if you'd like) rest of the car should be the same.

Check the angles of your front and rear brake linkages for any binding when applying the throttle. Also check your center diff to make sure you don't have the calipers tightened too much causing the brakes to bind.

Look back a couple of pages in this thread. Check to see if you've got the same problem with the adjustment collars being too close to the brake linkages.

Could someone please list the Schwartz setup for me. All the links from here and SGrid don't allow me to take a look at it. Sounds like a lot of guys are running it and I would like to give it a try...

Thanks in advance everyone.

I was wondering if a fellow Mugen driver would be able to help me out with a small query. I am running an MBX5R myself and would like to know in what increments do the degrees of rear squat alter, when different eccentric bushings are used. For example, when you have the offset bushing with the hole down, is this 1 degree, with the middle hole bushing is this 2 degree and finally with the offset bushing with the hole up, is this 3 degrees? Just trying to find out what I need to use to basically get 3 degrees of rear anti squat, as I am unsure whether I will need to run the -1 degree rear/rear anti squat/toe plate to achieve what I am looking for.

Hope that made sense!
Cheers.

Sorry mate, not sure about the anti squat settings.

Has anyone tried the "long" springs? Do they just mean you can run less ride height clips or is there more of an advantage to them?

They do mean you can run less spacers 5mm is pretty common around aus running 3mm at the Qld states just gone but it was hammering the chassis bad they will handle better over the rough track also .

Not to sure about the rear Anti squad bushes also mostly run mid bush all the time any way would say it would be 2deg anti squat just looking at the angle

Running the long springs save you from using 20mm of clips...

Last weekend I think I ended up with 8mm in front and 9mm in rear of the car.

Used the Schwartz setup with a few changes. Car was pretty good.
