Default Ae BIG Bore Shocks

Got to check out the new Ae big bore shocks today for the RC 8.

very nice

Improved seal cartridge for the O-rings, it thread`s onto the bottom of body . No C-clip...

Nice metal caps
expose bleed or vent hole in cap
nice bladders on top

pistons had a lot more holes , I think 6 and they were 1.3

No pic will get some tomorrow...

Anyone got a clue when the AE bigbores are hitting the counter? i'd love to pick some up. Man I wish they would do away with threaded shock bodies. God awful idea, gimme smoothies with clips any day

All shock parts are being packaged and getting ready for distibution. You will see them in 2-3 weeks.

They won't do away with them. To many guys like me who hate having a bag full of clips. You could find somebody with an rtr and trade shocks with them.

Or just buy Kyosho big bores since you know, they are the best shocks in the industry and all

What all do you have to do to make the Jammin 16 mm bb's fit? I just bought a set and wanted to know how they fit on the buggy. Thanks!

pm blazinb on carolinas he uses the jammin ones.

I would wait for the AE ones though, I ran them at the Pre worlds a couple weeks back. Built them on Thursday and on Sunday they were still perfect after putting 1.5 gallons of fuel. Easy to build, few new parts, but uses same o rings and spacers and shafts, so a good bit of your spare parts will still be useful. Same length, so internal limiting on set ups works the same, etc.

you will need the original shock standoffs for the 13mm shocks from a jammin x1. they are a bit shorter than the standoffs that come with the sbb shocks. you will use the balls from the ae shock ends and will need to dremel a bit off of the side opposite the locknut on the shock mounts (just enough that the shock ends from the jammin shocks move freely, so check them as you go).

Few pics from this weekend. Very fun track in Clio, Michigan. A high speed layout with some fun jumps and gets nicely rutted up for some rollover action if you're not careful. : )

ofna super big bores with 13mm standoffs. I used one thin washer behind each standoff to space out the shocks just right.

Kyosho shocks?

Bear in mind they are short. If you use them you will need to widen the shock tower...

Does anyone know which Jconcept tyres the pros where using at the Thunder Alley Roar Nats?
