thank for the help 3rd year in 1/8 scale just got a losi 8 for this season drove a mugen last 2 season will do this mod when i get my diff problem fix

got a lot of slop in the diff out drive cup the local hobby store said the diff cup was bad orderd new one i had a new set of drive cup so stared checking the new cups came with shims 6x8 instaled new drive cup in old diff cup with shims took up a lot of slop if could find a 6x8x4mm shim would take all the slop an still turn free

Any one know (or has used) the Team Losi 2000 mah Lipo receiver pack in there 8ight with the short rx cover?

ya its overly tight tho with proper padding....Just use the bigger 1...Why do u Need to run the flat top ?

Thanks for the info Integra...

Liked the look of the short lid over the hump... Also, the Losi Lipo is a bit more $$ than some of the lesser know Lipo rx packs out there. Figured it was specifically designed for the 8ight battery box and was trying to justify spending the extra money on it...

what are u comparing it to ? the protec ?

Red face Watch out.........

You might want to put some lexan on the bottom of that battery. I have seen several guys lose their LiPos by the screw area wearing the foam in the bottom of those boxes. The Lexan will allow the foam to work but won't let the screw area damage the bottom of the battery.

ive modded the box and the screw...so that wont happen...thx for the "tip" tho tex.

Yes, it is thicker than the Losi lipo... I would definatly have to use the hump battery cover w/ it...

Default Rear Diff?

Is there a way to adjust the rear diff gear mesh? I just receied my new 8ight Race Roller and the mesh between the ring/pinion is horrible!

I took it apart once already to see if there were a shim I could remove. There were none that I could see, nor any way to losen the gear mesh...

Is this normal? The front and center diffs feel fine. The rear seems to be out of round because it seems fine half way around. The other half feels like its full for sand...

Any sugestions?
