I know what you mean bud. There's a few things that go into using the bigger bearing. I have removed bearings for a few people..... My offer still stands...

You could use a heat gun to heat it up a little to get the bearing out.( I have never tried it that way just as a disclaimer) I always use one of my bent drive shafts as a tool as mentioned earlier in this thread.

Anybody seen one of these 8X carbon steering racks? Maybe this was a Kyosho rack that fits? I’ve been looking for one to be released for years.

Not sure I'd trust carbon as a replacement, despite being able to adjust the steering more.

Good to hear! Is the different geometry over the Alu piece worth it? The price is pretty good based on the link above - if durability is as good as you mention I'd be interested to try it.

Yes it is different. I think the elite comes with the same geometry

I don´t think that the elite comes with a new geometry ackerman.

It does not come with the Elite. The Pro.RC moves the holes back one creating a 0 hole. Totally worth it IMO.

Good to hear, thanks Token. Have ordered a couple (anyone at SDMCC who wants one, let me know) - looking forward to trying it.

Check out the setup sheets on TLR webpage. You might want to take a look at the rear shock tower as well. It has the 3rd row of holes for the new set up. Also keep in mind there is dremeling needed to run either the ackerman and/or shock tower.

Don't need to mount it. Curl it up and put it inside the receiver box.
