Take my money, hopefully soon as most of us are looking to build race rigs for the new year right about now.

Default 8ight X converted to 8ight X-E?

Question, is it worth converting my X into an X-E? i recently picked up a lot with two (2) low hour TLR 8ight X's, i am not much into nitro and am looking to convert if possible/worth it.

At a minmum from a quick exploded view look, i would need
- Center diff mounts
- Motor mount
- XE Chassis?
- ESC tray/battery tray

I am hoping i can find someone who may have done the conversion or looked into it. i would rather not sell both of these X's and wait for an XE to pop up local to me. But i also do not want to have a pieced together XE i would think the diffs and the rest of chassis is interchangeable between the two? Seems like the older versions of the kit were much easier to convert with the kit they sold. Thanks in advance.

final attempt at this as I'm done pulling the hair out of my head.

I recently installed the LIT blocks, yes they are clearanced. For whatever reason, I cannot get above 25mm ride height in both front and rear.

Ive checked for binding, spring sag, bent anything, rebuilt shocks, and nada.

Anyone have an issues with it or am I just going to YOLO it?!

Someone on FB just posted about this on this XE. I run the lits on both and for the life of me, I can't replicate the issue. How are you setting your ride height? Just something I picked up a few years ago from both the 8th and 10th guys, we drop the car, then bang on the table a few times. The car will set to "proper" ride height. It was mentioned that a car does not sit still on the track after a landing.

that was I

I give up. Flipped the rear spring collars. That will work for this weekend (for the mental game as well). They added a whoops section so I'm going to need to raise it 1mm all around from my usual 25F/26R.

Like i mentioned before, I have been doing the drop and measure method without any issues. Yes, I have tried what you PM'ed me about and that worked, but not consistently.

I guess we are moving towards adding ride height as a "rough guestimate" now along with toe and camber since camber is also hard to get right, to an extent.

Thanks for the help and input.

A club member who's on the TLR X fb group just did this. I believe others in there have as well and can tell you every part. You're pretty much spot on tho, I think he had to change center driveshafts too.

It's been a year since we got the elite update. Maybe the elite 2, or ultra?

Looks just like the v2 steering parts and parts bolted on on the elite. Doesn't look like a new buggy thus far.
