Looks great Mark! I ended up going a different route than the aluminum. I still have the aluminum if anyone is interested in them, but I decided to go with RPM knuckles for my final solution because of the larger bearings. I had to grind a bit on the hex to get them to work perfect but I like them now that they are fitted up. Only have two done so far. Majority of build will happen next week as I am on vacation with the fam this week. Got all my parts just need the time. Have you tried to see if the caps are on ebay? That is where I got mine and at a substantial discount too.

I didn't think any one else made the knuckles for our trucks

I don't want to back out on my hobby shop guy, he might get pissed.
But, he said 4 were on back order, I might
if I can cancel 4 of them.

John, I told you wrong on the reverse thing.
Once reverse mode is established, you push forward on the trigger, for the speed.

Here's my Rival...

500k center diff fluid
Traxxas Big Bore shocks with AE springs

Loving the truck!! It's a BEAST!!

Couple of slow-mo vids...

Couple of pics...

The red springs that come with the Traxxas shocks are too soft for the truck. The springs on the Rival shocks are too big in diameter to fit right on the Traxxas shocks, so I figured out a quick fix. The spring collars on the Traxxas shocks fit inside the Rival's stock shock collars, and the bottom spring retainers also fit on the traxxas shocks. The Rival springs fit perfectly with those changes!

Yeah, it was pretty covered in mud...we went to a local track to race yesterday, but it was a rain out, so we broke out the munsties!

On your picture number 2, I see you put to good use
of them tie wraps, I did the same thing on my wires.
They were keeping the body from sitting on the mounts.

But the shocks are definitely to soft and the center diff needs to be thickened any ideas?

I would recommend blue and copper springs on each corner, with 50 weight oil, and 500,000 weight center diff fluid.

I just got my truck today, and it can be first Rival ever sold here in Finland.

I just unboxed that truck and WOW, it looks awesome, I hardly can wait to take it out to first spin.

Im planning to drive it on two 6600 mAh 65C 2S lipos.

Unfortunately I can´t do that testdrive until tomorrow...

Congrats.
I just got my 2 lipos today, they are 2S-7.4V-6500-60C-Deans, they were for
my HPI Vorza I am getting.
You will have to do something with the ESC in order to
use the lipos.
Programing ain't a easy thing, for me

Got all my upgrade parts installed on the Rival...some for strength, some for performance, some for both!

Spektrum 6030 Ti Gear 280oz Servo
F/R Hardcore 7075 Shock Towers
Factory Team Aluminum Steering Rack
Traxxas Big Bore Shocks
4 - Copper Springs
TD Racing Extended Steering Drag Link

With the new drag link and the 6030 servo, the truck's turning diameter is cut nearly in half. Much inproved steering!! If you don't have a TD Racing drag link on your truck, you don't know what you're missing!!

http://www.tdracingrc.com/mgtdraglink.htm

If the rain holds off tonight, I should have some videos to share tomorrow!
