DEFINITELY swap out the plastic steering linkage. The plastic bushings wear our REALLY fast!!! That's usually a first upgrade!

Pipes. A buddy of mine and I tried a few different pipes. We found the best one for torque and HP to be the AE pipe, coupled with the big-bore header (I think you can get it at hobbyetc dot com). The really woke the truck's pee pee .15 motor up. We installed .12's later in both trucks with the same combo and man, was it fast!!!

Thanks for the info, I will
swipe the pipe off my trusty FTGT sitting
out in the shop. I believe the AE pipe
will be a better fit on the TMaxx. The
CVEC with dual exhaust ports takes up to
much space. I see that Racers Edge just
came out with a NEW polished HD aluminum
chassis for TMaxx.

Ryan - No they will not fit. Take a look at the offset on the T-maxx wheels, and the offset on the rustler wheels. They would "probably" work, if you don't plan on turning, then the wheel would rub the chassis, and lock up. It would also throw off your gear ratio quite a bit... Stop in at HobbyTown sometime, you will get the same answer from either me, or anyone who is there.

Default original

Here's the original chassis where racer's edge gets theirs from.
Sold by us, and made by JT Racing. The original is a little cheaper, and a little lighter do to the one shaved off edge.

T-D Motorsports, keep up
the good work. That chassis looks quite
slick. Hope that HPI Nitro RS4 I sent,
served it's purpose.

Keep us posted on the
other items you are working on for
E/T-Maxx trucks

Default serve the purpose

Well, parts of it are. Do you know where that exhaust header came from? I am trying to find the aluminum part that bolts directly onto the motor. Got a special project for it, but I need more of them for test developing. Can't find it anywhere on HPI's site. Oh, and which pipe was that again? You wouldn't believe what that pipe does to a T-maxx. WOW! The midrange and top end pull so strong on a trx 15 it's amazing. Runs good on the SS also.

Yeah, I took that header
off a Losi NXT, then I put a CVEC header
& pipe on the NXT.

That pipe is a secret
weapon, very high security. I could tell
you, but, I would (you know)

The header that came with
the pipe was a bit off (in the thread
department).
You have a machine
shop, maybe you can fix it.
Give me your mailing
address, I will send the header to
you.

Beautiful chassis...wow...

Again, thanks again for the care package....I'm installing all those on my project Super-Fast-Hella-Cool-Groovy-Bitchen-T-Maxx .21 conversion.

Hey Tony - I'm going to be building a .21 T-Maxx with the proline suspension and need a setup with Assoc. shocks. Just something baseline to start with.

Jack- We've been mostly running 70-80wt oil with complete red springs. I actually have red on the rear and red and blue on the front. Helps a little more with steering. You could try 60-65 wt. Make the car a little more reactive...

Default losi shocks?

Hey Tony, have you looked at the new Losi made Dynamite shocks yet? I was thinking about trying those. I like the ones on my XXXNT, and figured these should be pretty decent as well.
