ive been searching, with no luck...i asked this question in the rx8 thread, but i figured id ask it here to. im extremely new to the hobby, and am getting ready to install a tekin rx8 combo system in my 3906, but i have no idea how to wire it up for 2 batteries. do i just wire like the directions say, and then add a y-connector? series or parellel? i know my way around a soldering iron and stuff, just un familiar with brushless systems....i already have my mounting stuff for the motor and all that, its just the wiring i could use some guidance on, or even just a link or diagram would be fine

sorry for the newb question, but i'll have photos to post of my first makeover(not enough done for me to call it a 'build', lol) once some parts(mounting plate, hex adapters, bell crank posts) come back from the anodizers.

thanks guys

Thats an older one you got there. Most likely a pro.15 model (the original) with an Ofna/Picco big block kit on it (just a motor mount) or an early 2.5.

It sure looks like the old size chassis, but it might be the first version of the 2.5 truck (I know the hole for the pipe makes the difference). It looks to have the wider 2.5 suspension arms, and the 2.5 shock towers with the multiple shock mounting points.

Straight bashing? I'd go

alumimum
chassis braces
skids
bulkheads
shock caps

rpm parts
everything else you can get

rpm aren't bling. there very strong parts. the aluminum bulks is because the plastic ones break. and the chasis braces are optional really. it seems he agrees with me to ^^^^^

Thanks for the info the throttle linkage needs a complete replacement can I buy the new setup off the 3.3 version? also there's 3 servos one for steering one for throttle/ brake the other is going into the center diff? Whats the for 2nd gear? Is there a conversion

Does Traxxaaa have any good replacement servos the blue ones. What do you recommend just want something i can bash with have the 100 buck stuff don't want to waste.

Also will all the 3.3 RPM arms, and items listed fit or do I need to make sure its for the older model as stated.

yea one servo for steering, one for throttle/brake and the third for reverse. there a forward only kit you can get to eliminate reverse. i got the 2075 blue traxxas servo's. i like them. they are 125 in-oz. of torque. and you can get them for a little over $20 on ebay new. plus there waterproof.

Default New to the E/T Maxx world

I just received my first emaxx #3906 four days ago and I love it. I have a nitro pede .15 that i just got a month ago. I love the maxx the most though. Now I wanna upgrade it so that way I can really tear the neighborhood up. Looking to get the kersawn dual 700ho. Just need to figure out which way to go for batteries. I am thinking Lipo with an evx-2 swap.
