Horizon Hobby also has the SC18 listed for $199.99 on their site--back order right now....
price still seems sketchy because RCCA street priced it for around $160 in the January issue.....we'll see....

And $199 is ridiculous. You can get a brushed 1/16th Slash or E-Revo for that price.
Like t3gt said, RCCA said the price was $160. But then again they said the 4x4 Slash would be $375. So maybe they're just way off with their prices which is very bad, especially when they underestimate.

I received my Feb issue of RCDriver yesterday and there is an updated 2 page SC18 ad in there. Apparently Associated has heard some of the requests that the SC18 should come with a 2.4 radio.
According to the ad the SC18 RTR will now come with an "XP3-SS 2.4GHz 3-channel radio system."
Tower's site still just says order pending for it and oddly RC10.com still makes no mention of the SC18.

Dealer cost on the SC18 is listed right now as only a couple dollars higher than the RC18T RTR. Street prices should be about the same or maybe $5 more than the RC18T. So, $179.99 at Tower is what I would expect.
I'm really interested to see what the new steering in this truck is like. I raced a RC18T last winter and I hated the inconsistent and imprecise handling characteristics it exhibited (compared to touring car and 4wd buggy that is). The lack of torque steer should make this car more predictable and the longer wheelbase should make it a lot more stable. I really hope the new steering system is decent because the old system on the RC18 is just horrific.
