Hey all, I'm getting ready to start my KMRC MI build and want to get a few things out of the way.

I have a set of the 3 Racing shocks coming and I was wonder what you guys are running for shock oil in them for indoor carpet, if you have some suggestions of a decent starting point that would be great.

Thanks guys

Hey guys.....

Bringing back this older thread to ask a couple quick questions.

I have a little MI with the KMRC chassis , and it's running the atomic F/R diffs....but the center diff is one that i believe comes with the KMRC chassis? For keeping this center diff in good working order....where would i get replacement parts? I thought i remembered seeing that the KMRC chassis ran a 1/10 sized center diff....so would another brand of bearings , slipper pads and so forth work? I can find all the other parts for the MI just about any where , but just needed some advice from you guys on the KMRC stuff.

A part # would help too if you know where one is.

Arent they just freaking awesome??I mean you can hop up a mini-inferno but it still doesnt handle as nice as a KMRC mini-inferno!They make even a well hopped up RC18 seem to drive like a toy in comparison.

Nope no good injuries. On the li-po issue, I ended up moving the front hold down posts forward to make room for the li-po and cut a hold down strap out of some graphite I had from an old 1/12 chassis.I then used velcro to hold the li-po to the strap so once the strap is pinned down the li-po cant shift around.Never had an issue after that.

Glad to see this back...I scored a really nice KMC roller and was wondering what you guys have been running for brushless motors. I have a mamba micro pro I'm planning to use, but was wondering about a motor since the space is a little tight.

Thanks

duster i was running the tekin esc with a mamba 4200kv motor. More than enough for dirt off-road. Space really isnt that bad, just mount the esc on the rear upper chassis brace , and receiver either on the slipper housing cover, or on the servo.

Thanks - I have several motors I'm not using right now - Permax 480, Hyperion 5000 long can, and Ammo 28-35-3900. I don't think the Hyperion will fit, the Permax might be a tad long too. I guess I'll be trying the Ammo and see if it will work.

I'd consider a Mongoose if I didn't already have the CC esc on hand.

I bet your hyperion will fit.I was running one of the venom long can 4900kv motors for a quick minute. It worked well, but likes to run a little on the hot side for my taste.

That was my experience running it in both my MQSE and the Vendetta - it just runs hot and has that rep.
