with my past M18 i ran the associated 18th ball diffs and alun=minum drive shafts. Those are two upgrades that felt the car needed. This was also about 6 yrs ago. The new lipo version looks like it has few upgraded parts over the yrs.....drive shafts and the diffs look udated. Not much has changed over the yrs, still a nice little car. I know LRP has a 1/18th scale car also that is just as competative. Parts are a little bit harder to fine.

It's bigger than the M18 and a hell of a lot heavier. Nice car, but a totally different feel vs. the M18. M18 is quick/nimble and super fast but needs a steady hand. The detta TC is heavier and more stable, but just isn't as nimble. Body rolls like a hog w/o the sway bars. I like both, once you got the alum rear hubs the detta was a little tank on the track and was just as fast once you went BL.

Hi, my M18 pro lipo spins out turning one way only. been told on the xray forum i have a tweak in the chassis but i cannot see it? I have loosend the top deck then retightened but no difference. Do i need a new chassis? If so is the exotek better?

If you can't see a tweak and the car sit flat on a reference surface you know is flat, then the chassis is probably ok. Check bearings and suspension action for binding. If that checks out put the car on some scales and check each corner to make sure one doesn't have more weight than the other.

Has anyone tried any of the Associated RC18R tires on their car?

Fastest 1/18 1/16th on carpet road course
Am I correct that an properly set up, X-Ray M-18 PRO, with the best brushless and lipo setup will be faster on a larger carpeted road course than any RC18, Losi, Scalpel or Vendetta even with larger 380 brushless motors ?

The Assoc. RC18R tires/wheels don't fit the M18.....The M18 has a hex style axle mount, where the RC18R style uses a slot/pin style axle mount. Even if they could fit, the RC18R tires/wheels are so much taller that the M18 would be rolling over a lot...
