Default Sept/Oct 2021 Layout

Hello All,

Happy September M96WC racers! Here is the layout for the next two months. We will run CLOCKWISE in September and counter clockwise in October. This layout is 9 x 10 tiles, so a little shorter and wider (more squarish) and I hope everyone can make it work in their space. Ignore the straight tiles with bump outs, as this layout was "borrowed" from HFAY which uses 50cm tiles. We use the 30cm tiles in the M96WC.

Drive fast!

I didn't realize it was a more square layout, have to see how it fits in my basement.

Sorry didn't have time to setup the track this month. Lots of stuff going on right now and I've been busy with the new mini RC club. Hopefully I can get it setup at some point again. It's a cool competition and it's definitely made me a better RC driver.

Notes-Car was always very stable and easy to drive, but with the brushless motor I have difficulty recovering from a mistake and it costs me a lot of time. I'm now running the PN v4 A-Arm (thanks to LuckyLou) and I'm finally faster than my PN 70T car, by less than 3 seconds in total time.

video link to example run. This run was 6-7 seconds slower though...

Notes: This car was really hard to handle. I took a video of a similar run as above (it was about 6-7 seconds slower, see link). I had to switch to marka 5's to keep the back end in line.

This car has more potential than what is represented in this run. I need to spend more time with it next month. I expect something in the 240's - 250's to be possible for this setup. I just need to put in the time to drive it right.

Barely made it this month, put up the track last night (technically after midnight), ran a few practice laps and then the race. Hopefully October will have more time for practice.

Same as above, barely made it. Still need to tape the tires and try out the kingpin flip mod

If it's more than 8 tiles wide, I can't fit it.
