Then today I threw on the Audi R8 LMS, a fresh set of MZW2-30’s cut to 22.7 mm and took it for a spin. I also changed to 1.5 offset wheels front and back. After running in the tires for a pack or 2 - I set the timer and found what I suspected I would. The car just handles better with that body. It seems less prone to traction roll and more responsive in corners. I have to say I am really impressed with the R8 and look forward to some good runs next month. Gearing- 9/44 (stock gear diff and gearing) Notes: I can’t find a better tire choice for my setup/driving style than the MZW39-40. PN KS firms are almost right, but I seem to traction roll more with them. Maybe as I learn to be a smoother driver I can use more grippy tires… Getting rid of damper fluid in favor of springs helped improve consistency. Gearing- 6/44 - stock gear diff. Notes: I have only had this for 1 day so I don’t have strong opinions yet. It is in need of tuning but it seems to have a lot of potential.
