Man I'm in shipping hell! I placed 4 orders last week, and the last 2 I ordered that were shipped snail mail and the first 2 Priority. I got 1 of each already, but the second 2 are bouncing between the Dallas and Fort Worth hubs!
I could have walked to Dallas and picked them up in the time they have been "in transit to my destination"!
In the mean time I think I have my cars dialed in, but having to fire up the gas furnace this weekend will kill the humidity levels in the house, and the traction level of the track will go away. So I might have to re-tune all my cars. I am getting this layout more dialed in going CCW, and I'm very thankful PoorBoy moved the dog leg on the straight over one, as I smack that corner on the regular! I hit the corner so many times going CW it started to deform the 90* corner piece!
Also cracked the nose of my MX-5 last month, but it's not too bad. I'm going to try to make a brace to keep it from breaking all the way.
Hope all is Well! Drew

Man Berat, I LOVE Racing! I never did any Sponsored racing, but I raced quite a few different types of vehicles. Started when I was 8 and my Grand Dad bought me a 5hp single seat dirt Go Cart, and I made a 1 acre race track in the old Horse pen. Damn that thing was FAST!!! Then on to 4wheelers, then to anything I could drive when I got my Drivers License, much to the dismay of my Dad!
I would give almost anything to be able to race anything full scale again, but my back is FUBAR and now sometimes it's a struggle to get my shoes on or get out of my recliner! Now RC gives me my racing fix! I'm MUCH better in a drivers seat compared to the RC TX, but I have a BLAST with the M96WC!!! Sometimes it's frustrating, but that makes it worth while when it goes right!!!
Have Fun and Be Safe in your Rallye Cross!!! Those cars are FREAKIN' AWESOME!!
I did get a second set of Nexx 04 Aluminum knuckles for my Open chassis, and I tried to get 20mm Front wheels to work, but I just couldn't get the TR gone, so back to PN 19mm Dish wheels. On the 19mm wheels the car is on rails! I just don't care for the looks when paired with the highly detailed Kyo Mini-Z bodies! It just looks off. But they work!!! Hopefully my PN Pod and 04 Tie rod set will arrive soon, so I can finish dialing in my Open chassis. Also have some paint on order to get to painting my white bodies!

Hey PoorBoy,
Now that the MR04 Ready Set has been released, are they going to be allowed in BoxStock? They are supposed to be the same board, but the rear pod has axel height adjustment, which is NICE but an advantage over the 03 along with the improved steering and lower CG. I have most of the spare parts to change my 03 to an 04 already, and as much as I like how the 04 drives, it would probably be worth the time and small expense!
What's Yall's thoughts?
p.s. Your driving and times are freakin Awesome!

Yes now that the MR04 Ready Set has been released it will be legal for box stock. Similar rules to the 03 box stock with the exception of the front knuckles. As Kyosho has not released an aluminum knuckle and the stock 04 knuckles are very brittle any standard profile 0 camber knuckle will be legal.
I suspect the MR04 is going to make box stock faster and easier to drive hopefully helping people have more fun when they are leaning.

Thanks for the ruling Poor Boy!
My PN pod says it actually made it to Waco today, but my other pkg made it here on the 9th and says it's still it transit. Usually USPS is great here, but they have had problems with more than half of the pkgs I've shipped the last few months! Looks like a 03 to 04 Ready Set swap will be my next project! It will be cool to see how the 2 compete against each other in a Box Stock class. I wish they would offer them as a ready to bind, so I wouldn't have a 4th RTR Radio, 3 of them brand new sitting in a box, as i wouldn't mind having a second Box Stock chassis. I have seen Kyosho Aluminum 04 knuckles on Banzai site, but they weren't available yet the last time I looked(supposed to be mid month). They are the same style as the Yeah Racing Aluminum knucks. I have 2 sets of the Nexx Racing knucks and they work VERY WELL! They come with their own pivot balls, as the kingpin shaft is a bit smaller than Kyo., and nice aluminum shims to set ride height/ arm angle. Though you are adding an extra place to add unwanted slack in the steering with the 2 pc kingpin/knuckle, vs. Kyo.'s 1 pc design.
ON a side note the damn ac company our home warranty hired, didn't install the new furnace correctly and didn't get the correct permits, if any, so the new company can't touch it till the city comes and inspect it. He was able to reset the cpu and get it going, but it's not right!!! NOTHING makes me more angry than to hire a professional then have them do a bad job!!! But the new tech said he has seen 5 or 6 systems, not including mine, that the other company did wrong this month alone!!! It's not just a little wrong, it's not even the correct type, the installer just rigged it to make it work, WTF!!! Rant over, sorry! Just HATE getting taken advantage of!
Anyway, going to make the necessary calls tomorrow, then put some laps down and try to have fun!

I just placed 3 orders today for my open car, hopefully I’ll get that stuff soon, but Berat already warned me that the company I ordered the lipos from takes forever

Hope you get your stuff in a timely manor Walt!
I got both my remaining orders n today, finally! I got the PN V4 94/98mm Pod for Kyo motors, and I have to say I'm a bit disappointed with the tolerances of the parts and the parts included/not included! First thing I noticed was it came with 3 #2 axel bearing holders and 1 #1. Next, was the fit of the bearing holders in the pod. They are loose, like my Nexx Racing RM Pods, not like the 3 other PN Pods I have, which makes setting the gear mesh hard! The Kyo motor also fits loosely in the Motor Plates. It has about a half mill of twist front to back, while being stable side to side. Last, was the lack of needed screws to mount the pod to the T plate. You need 2mm dia x 3mm long screws, as the provided 2X4mm screws hit the motor not allowing gear mesh adjustments. Don't get me wrong, it works and the 8500kv barely gets warm compared to the 140-150* range it had been running. But I would have just gotten another Anima Motor and used a PN V3 Pod I already have, if I would have known what I was getting with the V4. Maybe I just got a bad one, or maybe the bearing holders weren't made well??? I guess I'll just keep it, as shipping both ways is as much as the part itself.
As for the furnace, it's just damn aggravating! Just another SNAFU! I'm just going to have another whiskey, and say the heck with it!
If it gets too crazy trying to get the situation fix, we have a very good family friend who is a Junk Yard Dog Lawyer!
Never had to use him, and I HATE the thought of even having to go that route, but it's the only language many understand today! $$$ And I'm not going to jail for a POS like them for giving them the arse kicking they so rightly need/deserve!
I was going through the 03 to 04 Ready Set build, and the only thing that concerns me is length of the servo wires off the 03 ready set board being too short. the 04 pot wires wrap up and around the pot, where the 03 pot wires attach and run out the bottom. I know you can solder longer servo wires to the board, but those are some damn tiny contact patches very close together to try to solder to with my old eyes and shaky hands! I might try using the 03 servo gears/pot with 04 top plate, and arms, or some variation and see what it does for my times. Maybe just the 04 MM pod on the 03 chassis?? Would that still be Box Stock legal?

I drove my Stock car yesterday after not driving for almost a week dealing with my wife and I being sick, getting ready for Christmas, and a almost 3 month old Frenchie puppy, and my time sure showed it! I had also only had about 5 hours sleep in 3 days, so my patients and concentration were nil, and when I made a mistake it took much longer for me to process how to correct it. Lap 3 was almost a 9 second lap and all I did was wedge it in the outside corner off the main straight! I just couldn't get it unstuck!
I hope to do A LOT of driving the last week of the month to get my times DOWN! My goal is a 4:15 total time for all but Box Stock and a 4:30 for it. Anyway here's the time.

This is Kaiah. She's around 3 months old and 6.5lbs. We've had her since she was 1 week old, when her Mom died from complications from birth. She's super confident with everything, but Mini-Zs! LOL When I start one up, she hides.
But she will take a chew out of her Big sister's mouth with no worries! Big Sis is a 70lb Bully!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays Everyone! Be Safe in Yalls travels! Drew

Since Christmas is over its time to get back into the min 96 game. Completely changed my box stock car from a very narrow setup to a more standard setup. It made it a lot better to drive, times still kind of suck but I just need to keep turning laps.
