I’ve a set of PN lowprofile medium fronts and a set of Marka 10‘s (soft) rear radials that I want to try, but the kyosho’s are still holding up, I plan on building a 3d printed car maybe I’ll wait and put them on there.
Keep at it guys, Later Walt

I'm trying out Kyosho's Inner Tube Shock set front end on my MX-5, and so far it's a bit smoother, but it took some setup changes to make it work. I was wondering for those who have used them, what oil/grease do yall use with it?

I'm also planning my next build. I'm trying to decide on building a MR-04 or a pan car chassis. The MR04 will be around $325 using a few parts I already have. I don't know which pan chassis is the best to start with, so any suggestions??? I know the pan chassis will cost more depending on the electronics chosen, but there are some pretty inexpensive ways to go.

Thanks for the help!

We‘re looking at a printed chassis ( I haven’t forgotten your spoilers) there’s one out there that is supposed to perform well.
If not that then I’ll be looking at a GL Racing ( for me a GLR) you can get one over here for 200€ without a body, wheels, and motor, a friend has one and it’s Nice

Keep at it Guys. Later Walt

After reading posts by EMU and others I see that the RX28 is the top performer at the big tracks, and it's about $100 more than the GL kits. I really like the looks of the new Atomic MRX. It's around $280 for the kit with a good servo. I know the GL is a proven performer, and the fixes for it's shortcomings are well documented. Basically the MR04 built as I want it from parts is $300 where the various pan cars are close to $550 when getting the parts needed to tune and at least $100 more for the top kits.

I don't know if I would ever see any real difference between the different pan cars on the Mini-96, and that's where I drive 99.9% of the time. No close big tracks, and my body can't handle standing the long hours of the big meets that pop up.

Well after driving all day and trying to get my PN70T stock chassis to drive like I want it to and failing I switched it back to a 98mm BoxStock with a McLaren F1 body. Both my PN 70T motors have a bad vibration, even after cleaning and changing brushes, then tried a PN50T which is smooth, so who knows what happened to the 70T's. SO I went ahead and pulled the trigger on the parts to build an MR04 with a PN Anima 5500Kv, PN Ball Diff, PN Multi Mount or V3 94/98mm, and Delrin/Brass servo gears, and DDS. I'm going to try the 04 factory chassis, but I have a PN2.5W chassis also.

The BoxStock chassis is running well after some tuning, but I know it can be better. My eyes were getting crossed after running over 1,000 laps this afternoon, so it will wait till tomorrow! The stuff won't be here till after the first, so I will try to run my current ProStock then switch motors to run it in Stock too. That way I'll have a BoxStock, Stock, ProStock, Narrow, Porsche, and MX-5 entries this month! I'll save my Mad Cash till I can get enough for a Pan car hopefully by the end of the year!

Have fun turning those laps!

I hope it’s ok for me to post it here for him, hopefully he’ll say something in here so he can do this himself
I can’t concentrate for 75 laps yet but I’m working on it

Hi Folks!
I'm Berat, 33 years old and live in southern Germany. I had some Mini Z as a Kid but we had no 1/28 tracks in the region I grew up in.
Fast forward 20 years and moving several times across Germany: Hanging out with Walt lead to buying wayy too many 1/28 cars, parts and bodies and now I've tried the Mini96 Challenge for the first time.
Thankfully we have quite a few tracks in south-west Germany, but the track in Walts garage has a special place in my heart
I have no previous RC car race experience, but I occasionally race FPV drones.
Sorry for all the rambling, I'll post my times in a separate post.

Trying to get my runs in before the end of the month. My BoxStock run was pretty good. I wasn't trying to run the fastest laps possible, just as clean of a run as I could get. It is still a work in progress, and will T.R. if I get ham fisted on the throttle in the 90s. I will try for better times especially with my MX-5 as I had 2 roll overs and it killed my times! I will update my times if I'm faster, but I don't want to miss the end of the month!
