Donna and I want to thank all the racers that made it out today. We had another great turnout of 51 cars and trucks, not to bad for a holiday weekend. Thanks to Rex Franke and Mike Bartlett from Novelty RC for making the trip down to join us. Congrats to David Kriz this weeks winner of the MAMBA system and Rex Franke the winner of this weeks 50/50 drawing. We will have open practice on 9/21/05 from 5 - 8.
Our final race of the year is 9/25/05. We will crown our season champions on this day along with our awards presentations and prize giveaways. Hope you all can make it out.

Hi All,
WOW, what a great day of racing. We want to thank those that came and helped with getting the track ready after the 5" of rain we got Friday. The day was filled with great things all day long. We set a new track record with 74 cars and trucks entered. The season champions were crowned in all the classes with the track changing all day and everyone chasing there setup. We would like to thank all of our sponsors for there prize donations that enabled all the racers to take home a prize. We would like to thank Mike McDowell for smoking up some great BBQ. We would also like to thank Tim Mohr Castle Creations team driver for making the trip from St. Louis
to race with us today. Hopefully he will make the trip next year to race with us again. We would also like to thank the Eagle Racing Team for paying us a visit. We hope you guy's enjoyed yourselves. Tom assured me that they would be on board as a sponsor again next year. Once again we would like to thank everyone for a great season. It's obvious that the Kansas Dirt Slingers showed everyone that Dirt Oval is alive and well in KC.

I received some good news from RC Driver yesterday - the article on the Kansas Dirt Oval Championship will be in the December issue (not November as I originally thought - we got bumped by a "bigger" race). Originally they had told me 1 or possibly 2 pages but yesterday I found out that it will go 3 pages! I was pretty happy about that one! They said they liked the pictures!

Soooo, we'll all have to wait 'til the December issue arrives - subscription copies should be here in 2 to 3 weeks - it's being sent to the printer this week.

We do ALL have subscriptions, don't we???

It's right on 71 higway on the same site as the RV park.They run on weds,sat,and sun at 6pm.The owner's name is Mike-really nice guy.Several of us are planning to go down on the 12th,and there is a plan to start running Checkered Flag rules/classes on one of the weekend nights soon.There are quite a few of us looking forward to running down there over the winter.

Hi All,
Well our third race season has come to a end. We would like to thank everyone that came out to the track and raced this season. We hope you all enjoyed yourselves. We sure did.
This season saw the start of the Kansas Dirt Slingers RC Club. We thank the 43 members that joined and helped support the track and Dirt Oval Racing. It is obvious with our 64 average car count that Dirt Oval is alive and well in the KC area. We will get the chance to show the rest of the country also. Chris Kovachevich has informed us that the 2nd Annual Kansas Dirt Oval Championship race will appear in the next issue of RC Driver magazine. Thank you Chris for coming out and covering the race.
We would like to thank the club members that helped with preping the track. We couldn't have done it without your help.
We would like to thank all of our sponsors for there donations to the club. With there help we were able to make sure every racer took home a prize from the prize drawings. Here is a list of all the sponsors, please support and thank them for helping us out this year.
