Mario, Normally we do not have enough for a stock class race. Now with that being said, some guys show up with stock cars and mod cars. The track is easy enough to run a stock buggy competitively. Some guys in mod are running a 13.5t or 10.5t timed out and put laps on guys with 8.5t all day. So bring the buggy with you and come race with us at hotshot. When you get here come on out to one of our club race's and talk with some of us and maybe we can generate enough people to bring their stock buggies out for a race or two.

I use Sweep Non-Slip slicks. I then sauce them with reno's ragu or sticky kicks, however traction is good enough you do not have to sauce your tires. Most people are running slicks, tires ground to slicks (belt sander on site) or ghost pin's. The track is super fast and has a ton of grip. Brad (HS owner) has started adding stock 17.5 classes to the events now as well. So we look forward to racing with you in the future.

Exclamation Track Maintenance on SUNDAY

On Sunday 8/30 we are making changes to the track, and the track will be closed for the day.

The HOBBYSTORE will be OPEN during normal business hours.

We welcome any volunteers that want to lend a hand. Bring gloves and a shovel.

I just got a '14 XB4 and what is the best pinion gear size to run on the track? I'm currently running the stock spur gear and and a 24T pinion.

Default 17.5 Stock Buggy question

Hey guys,

I am thinking of running my old B4.2 in the 17.5 class to get extra track time when i start racing - what gearing are you guys using at Hotshots?

Thanks

A B4.2 stock 81T spur gear and a 22T pinion will give u a 9.5:1 fdr.
If you run a 75T spur gear and a 32T pinion will give u a 6:1 fdr.

Try either/both of these, and if you favor one or the other, take that setup and change the pinions around to your liking.
