The parks will be buying us a Drivers Stand, no timeline though, but they will try for sooner rather than later. Until we get that, we need to borrow one or rent one from a track.

Also, we need to re-paint the whole surface so it all matches and looks nice! We need to have a work day to do this. The sooner the better! Let me know your thoughts on that.

Looking forward to good year of racing back at the VILLAGE!!
This is great news Robert. Looking forward to coming over to race!

Dealing with municipalities and counties can be very difficult. As your city has been pretty cooperative I suggest a bunch of guys shotgun some appreciation letters to the City Manager, Mayor, Commissioners, and Parks and Recreation Director. These letters will provide good will going forward.... In essence, you will make them look good.. In fact, write a short letter in a newspaper.. letter to the editor section or hometown paper praising them... etc... One should post the info here as to addresses, names etc... I think a letter is better, but an email would be ok... Get the kids to write them as well with a photo... they eat this stuff up....

I plan on attending your races once in a while... but I live pretty far.. Keep up the good work...

FYI I have an electric GT8 car and two touring cars... The GT8 class is so much fun.....

This is great news!!! By painting the whole thing, you mean the lanes too? Its taken years to put down decent rubber so that on non race days you can actually still run on it even though it may be dirty. I remember back when the track first opened it was like trying to drive on ice. Epoxy painted concrete is slippery unless you have the anti-slip additive.

We painted a week before Nationals last year with no additive and the traction was bonkers! It will not be a problem.

Look forward to seeing you out there.

Default Track Days

All,

We are going to have track days the next two weekends. This upcoming weekend we hope to pull up all of the PVC and start to prep the surface for paint. The more people we have the less time it will take. This would also be a good time to discuss what you want when we are developing a new track layout. I can say that Mr. Baptiste has done a phenomenal job on a layout that gives us several options in the future without have to re-paint the whole.

Please let me know who is interested for this weekend!

The second weekend in the weekend of the 25th, we need to pick a day that works for everyone, so let's vote. Saturday or Sunday? On this day we will paint the surface and do anything else we can fit into the time we have.

Let me know what works for everyone!

Look forward to seeing everyone.

Thank you,

Robert

Default made some head way with the track

We got all the pipe up on Saturday. I want to say thanks to David and Robert for all the hard work going into the track. Thanks for Robert Cooper for renting a pressure washer to prep the track for paint.

This weekend we are going to put down some paint. We will have 2 paint machines. need some help. somebody spraying and another rolling. per machine.

looking forward to completion, and getting back to racing.

Yes, any help would be much appreciated. We have a lot of painting to do this next weekend. The more people we have to help the more we can get done.

Look forward to seeing you!

Tomorrow's weather doesn't look too good. We've decided to paint the track on Sunday (1/25 - 9AM) instead. We hope that some of you guys can still come and help. Thanks.
