how big of a spur gear can fit ?

Moved from T1FK05 thread...

1. The rear uprights have built-in outboard 1° toe-in. The rear toe is adjusted with adding shims of different thickness between the rear suspension holders and the rear bulkheads. Aluminum shims come with the kit.
2. The kit comes with 4d caster front c-hubs. The other caster sizes available will be 2d & 6d.
3. I'll have to get confirmation that the motor guard is compatible, but it looks to be.
4. The top deck mounting holes are much different

If the layshaft height is the same as the FK05, then comparing 64p to 48p:
112t 64p = 84t 48p
116t 64p = 87t 48p
120t 64p = 90t 48p (this option was only usable on the 3.0mm chassis without the spur protruding out the bottom of the chassis)

(84, 87 and 90 were used as these were the options provided by Xray on the FK05 for easy reference)

In 48p, anywhere from 80t to 87t is recommended. The new Hudy Setup Book will have a very useful gearing rollout chart with different size spurs and a fixed 63mm wheel diameter for rubber racing.

In 64p, anywhere from 110t to 118t is recommended. The new Hudy Setup Book will have a very useful gear chart for foam racing which shows the correct pinion gear needed to maintain your rollout with a 116p spur as the tires wear down. If you use a 112 spur, you can just add approximately .8 to the rollout number for quick reference.

Spurs larger than 87t (48p) or 118t (64p) will hang below the 2.5mm chassis.

Will the alum. shock bodies from the 05 fit on the T2 if you use the shorter shock shafts? (I like the alum better then the plastic ones.)
Or......Will XRAY come out with a set of alum. made for the T2??

I checked at the GP race last weekend, the tamiya shocks can fit just fine (lenght is exactly the same if you dont thread them all the way in), in case you really need alum shocks.

All drivers with T2 ran the stock shocks without any problems. They seemed to be more than enough for everyone.

That topic was covered early in this thread.

The US and Canada market is largely running foam on carpet, where the preferred setup has been 2 diffs for most tracks.

Due to this..and the reaction when people complained in the US and Canada about the T1FK only having 1 diff and a one way, RCAmerica asked for the US and Canada versions of the FK05 and later kits to come with 2 diffs to suit the requirements of the larger body of their order base...

That being said it was also further explained, that the additional diff (should you require and purchase a one-way) can be used for spare parts and/or service as a replacement for your rear diff...still providing value even if you prefer running with a one-way...whereas a one-way if you only run with 2 diffs doesn't provide this added value...

+ complete ball diff set

Will there be anti-roll bars in the kit ?

Will the 303060 motor guard fit ?

Will there be a possibililty to buy the suspension parts in a set
(uprights+all arms+steering blocks+chubs) ?

The standard international kit comes with one multi-diff and one ball diff. Per request from RC America, all US kits will come with two ball diffs to better serve the majority of US customers.

im hanging to see if these arms hubs and drive shafts fit my pro4 it maybe worth keeping with some xray on it
